  • Hi, The Swallow had gone by the time I joined the club, but we still have a Ka 8 which is also white with blue wing tips (and I have spent many happy hours in!). also the club has two Ka 13's and a Ka 21. Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks for showing this! It was the first single seater I flew in 1977 at the Bath & Wiltshire GC, then at Keevil airfield in Wiltshire.

  • @smoothlennie Hi, Glad it brought back fond memories. Are you still gliding?

  • @peterwilkinson121

Hi Peter. Yes, still gliding - instructing mostly now, all aerotow at the Canberra Club, pity that. I used to fly at Southdown GC and I note you are probably at Ringmer!

  • @zip187 Thanks, its a great glider to fly and I've had some nice long flights in it ( tho' this one was a bit short! I also fly the club K13 or 21 when training, at East Sussex Gliding Club ( please take a look at our web site). Good luck with the RC conversion.

    Regards, Pete

  • @peterwilkinson121 I flew the Swallow quite a few times at the East Sussex Gliding club in the early 1980s! It was nice to fly, with a much better rate of roll than the 2-seaters I remember. The one they had there at that time was all-white apart from dark blue wingtips. I wonder if it is still flying.

  • Thanks, I hope I have a better soaring season this year so I can get some more video on for you.

    Regards, Pete
