Possibly the worst interviewer I have ever had the displeasure of watching and I think Peter did fantastically well at not having a go at the guy for his annoying performance and constant interruption.

He and NIN shared headline just a few years ago and u can see further proof by typing "peter murphy reptile" into the youtube search.

do i think Manson and NIN are the best example of "goth" absolutely not" but they are probably the biggest gateway bands into the goth genre to ever exist.

I don't know anything about them now, but I have to say that they did put on good shows. Really nice, too, they seemed to be just as curious about us as we were of them. They opened for Siouxsie at the Hollywood Palladium in '86 - not a huge venue. Being a gothic kid in LA and hispanic, I realize we were like kids out of the Love & Rockets comic books to them. Peter Murphy seemed the same - curious about us, and not full of himself.

yeah Nardwuar is the same in every interview. but if you compare this interview to others you have to admit that Nardwaur always gets interesting feedback from whoever he is interviewing and you can actually see what the artist is really like. People who don't really know about him usually don't get him, but at least the interview isn't boring, generic, bland etc.
