@SolitaireMasta I do know what it means in Japan. You know what the word 'hentai' means in Japan? Something totally different that if it were to be used here in England/America.
@che3se1495 'Hentai' does mean 'pervert' in Japanese but does ALSO mean cartoon porn which is what the English language uses it for so it does still mean the same thing. 'Otaku' is an insult in both languages it's just that people who fall under the 'otaku' bracket in English speaking countries take it as a compliment cos they just think it means someone who is addicted to Japanese animation, without being an insult.

@che3se1495 'Hentai' does mean 'pervert' in Japanese but does ALSO mean cartoon porn which is what the English language uses it for so it does still mean the same thing. 'Otaku' is an insult in both languages it's just that people who fall under the 'otaku' bracket in English speaking countries take it as a compliment cos they just think it means someone who is addicted to Japanese animation, without being an insult.
