@bandosisfemale Book gives a nice prayer bonus a little of Range attack as well, but shield has a very convenient high Ranged defence bonus - go with the one that suits you better ;p - for instance, if you go with tank/melee legs and/or helm and you think you have enough Range def, feel free to use the Book, now if you're with full void or full arma/d'hide use the shield for Def bonus.. If you think you got enough defence, choose whichever suits you better =D

You know, its hard for me because, when i shoot Jad, he will do the block emote, ok heres the example, when i attack a player, the pixel's hand will move. In this case, i attacked jad and he did the same thing, which make me confuse. His leg moved when i shot him, and i thought it was ranged attack, but it was mage.

@predatorz990 Jad doesn't really have a "block emote", what happens is that he bends down/back while shooting the Magical Attack (which does LOOK like a block emote, but actually is part of the Magical attack emote ;p), which is very hard to notice - hence you should focus in the 'boom-boom' sound before Jad's attack to prevent magic and only activate range pray when he raises the front feet ;p

@xlstrbomb Well, in my experience, is easier to kill healers (if u have good melee armour on while doing it) when killing jad. Take note that you got to leave JUST ONE alive, if you do this, it will be easier to trap it, or just leave him healing jad if your range level is above 85, sice youll be dealing more damage compared to a single healer restoration. This will make you less dependant on trapping healers and eating/potting and you will be able to concentrate in prayer switch only.

@kidomaruss No, not anymore, I accidentally killed just one of the healers and it came back and healed jad. What you do need to do is attack all 4 healers once then make sure to turn auto retaliate off and attack jad again. That way you will just attack jad the whole time instead of accidentally killing one of the healers. Prayer switching and if hit upon brewing in between prayer switches will become easier as time progresses. I have attempted jad 20 times so far but this time I almost had him

@Jasonstar94 The only reason I died was because I accidentally killed one of the healers because I forgot to turn auto retaliate off after I had all 4 healers. Then I ended up making a prayer switching mistake which cost me the game.

Bring like 2k broad bolts, and 100 diamond bolts (e)

8sara brews-1 or 2 range pots andthe rest super restores.

Hey nice guide and all but i got a question. I tried to do fight caves today for the first time and when this thing happened. I had all healers attention. 3 of em were attacking me. 1 was stuck between jad and the sulphur vent. at some point, the stucked healer stopped looking at me and started healing jad AGAIN. then i messed it up by potting and attacking the healer too slowly and died. Now, in your video, you stuck them all behind jad. how come they didnt heal him again? answer please.

I have been at Jad 2 times now, but failed both of the times. The first time was my first try in the mini game EVER.

And second was because I focused on one of the adds too long, and died of fire missile.

Please help me / give me some tips.

Anothero ne is turn on Music After the first couple attacks from Jad because the first attack u need sound, the rest you don't...And I reccommend taking a break when you get to 62...So your not so nervous at 63(When Jad Comes)

People, Runetek 5 update brought many glitches, including one which you can't protect against Jad using your Prayers. Read the annotation on 0:14 for more info and don't go to Jad today, please.

Well, even if you are a little deaf and can't differ the sounds, you can still use the sound to your advantage (if you can hear them at all 'o.O), the fact is that you WON'T listen the range attack sound before it hits, while the mage sound (it has a TAH sound twice in the start, like a TAH-TAAAH-BOOOOm) WILL play before the attack hits. By the way, don't do Jad today as it is glitched due to the new update (search for "Jad" on the forums, have fun reading rants) -- prayers WON'T defend you.

So logically speaking you will only 9 super restores to counter the effects of the brew.

You have to click loggout while something is attacking you, so it gives you like a 5 minute grace period after the wave.
