  • Silverton Falls?

  • Definitely a marmot. I've seen a lot of them over my years of peak baggin'. This is a cool place. I finally figured out exactly where it is, thanks to a pic in I stumbled across in a book. Good on ya for walking that far! Not sure if I can justify that.

  • message I tried to send you

ya buddy that thing was evil looking !!! wouldnt wanna meet him in the dark out there hahaa...might be tasty though ;)

so where is this Quadra falls? in the SW Alberta isnt it? I'm in the SW..heard it might be around this area somewhere...wicked video though...what kinda cam you guys use? olympus waterproof ? maybe I'll run into you somewhere on my travels fly fishin :)

thanks man.happy trails...spring is around the corner :) ..add me ,you have a block on here

  • Whats with the gay jazz music lol!! Where is your dog??

  • @libbertines not sure what i was thinking with the music on this one, lol. Sparrow was starting to get sick when we were set to film this one. Over 30kms hike in one day was too much for the old dog to endure. so I left her at home. She passed away a few months later.

  • @humblefisherman Sorry to hear that; when i get a house of my own i'm going to get a dog and train it to coem fishing with me!! you're videos are brilliant btw!

  • @libbertines Thanks man! dogs are a must on the river, they take care of your back, while you take care of the fishy business.

  • lmao @ give ya wood hahhah what kinda animal was that? badger? awesome falls, where abouts is it?

  • @STMN69 sure had a nasty set of teeth, not sure what it was. Never seen one before or since, in books or otherwise. Nota marmot :) it's in Southern Alberta, if you want to know details send me a PM.

  • @STMN69 looks like they stired up a rock chuck. its pretty mush a giant squirrel

  • Those look a lot like Cuttbows because of the multitude of spots on the lower front of the fish as well as the white tipped anal fin

--What system are you in (Oldman, Castle, Crow, Bow, North Sask)? Depending on where you are, they may not be pure strain cutts.

  • this is exactly why I packed up everything, sold my home in Winterpeg,MB and moved to Lethbridge,AB .Just had my 1st season fly fishing in s.w alberta here in 2009.Crowsnest/Castle drainage/Dozens on the Trunk Road the list goes on and on, its frigin heaven here man....literally!!no problem trading in all the yrs of fishing for pike, walleye and perch out of a boat:)

  • wats a good flie for wild cutthroat trout cuz im new to fly fishing and i need some tips

  • @slipknotbot #14 H&L Variants are the best for me,Irresitables,Stimulators,hoppers,wht/blk wulfs

  • why the hell are we givin all these old guys pills to get a woody? shit just hand out some orchid seeds

  • Man, you guys are so lucky to have waters and places like that.

  • I can't believe where you guys climb to go fishing. Should not have picked the orchid, eating it though seemed to cause hallucinations in you. A marmot not doubt. Great vid.

  • ....insane, beautiful video guys, I'm getting super excited to check out some of this incredible backcountry fishing!!!!.....

  • Marmot. Good video man, can't wait for next summer.

  • I'm voting for juvenile wolverine. I thought I could faintly see the halo in its fur. It sure lopes along like Gulo gulo. My second guess would be a Fisher, The bushy tail threw me off as well, but mustelids like ferrets will get a bottle-brushy tail when they are excited, they poof right up. Maybe your bear boooo got him all hopped up - or maybe you disturbed his lunch of spotted orchid roots.

    Either way, this is fascinating.

    Cheers. . .

    - another sign shop J.

  • I'd have to say that was a marmot.

  • Great Job Jay, as always. 5 Star all the way!

  • SAVE THE WILD WORLD

  • Maybe a fisher?

  • i love how well put together your videos are put together! i'm dying to go catch a big ol' brown, now that the rivers are dropping we cant get our boat in!

  • nice job. looked like great outing.

  • Fun to watch fellas, that wolverine was amazing! loved the waterfalls. Nice stills.

I think we almost saw Jay fall off a cliff at that one spot didn't we.

  • As always, nice trip! Feed that wolverine an Orchid and he'll run a little slower for the camera! Say "hey" to Cory and keep those great adventures comin'. Winter is upon us!

  • What do you have for gear? As in Rod, Reel and Fish back packs?

  • good vid

  • Hey, Great vid Jay. I like how most of the trips are more remote that most peoples. Makes you more aware of the environment and the wildlife. Hopefully I'll get up there in two summers! Keep the good videos coming, Nic
