I'm from england and during the qualifying stage england did not deserve to go through to be honest. russia performed a miracle win to qualify and we should congratulae them for that :).
England are not likely to win the World Cup. But who knows it may come.

Beckham has played for argueably the best team in the Spainish league; Real Mardrid and was very succesful. he also played for the best team in the premier league; Manchester United and was prehaps their best player of the time, he is also currently playing for one of the best teams in the Italian league; AC Milan and is doing so good they've been wanting to extend his contract for awhile now.

Actualy if you think about it quaterfinals are just as important to win as are finals because if you lose in semis or quarters than you don't even make it to finals. And you really can't blame one player for England not doing well in tournaments, specialy a player like Beckham. Yes and i know beckham moved on loan to milan because of marketing purposes but they're keeping him there because he's a asset to the team not just so they can sell more milan shirts with beckham on the back
