yes you were right on the clones not joing order 66 the pointy head clones the episode 2 clones didnt have communicators that could go off planet and they stayed loyal to the jedi and if you played starwars battlefront 2 the empire goes to kamino and they kill all the pointy head clones and the kaminos people but they killed all the pointy headed clones and thus the jedi failed to destroy the empire and the remaining jedi joined the rebels.

If I am not mistaken Commander Vill under Commander Appo who was the Senior clone commander of the 501st. Bow was the succesor of Appo after his death. I don't think Vill would be giving them orders.

Actually clones did not have to follow every order. In the republic commando series of books, there were a LARGE amount of clones who did not follow 66 and took refuge on Mandalore.
