@sanasawa I totally agree with you. RoTeR28, I recommend you change your name and move to Argentina or Brazil. An contract has just been issued xDxDxD
@RoTeR28 This is not better than the original. It's about as good as the original, though Grave digger's version had a much more epic beginning and Van Canto's version has a more epic overall feel than either.
but the original Version by Grave Digger is mutch better. Because of Chris Boltendahl, a grave digger song without Chris is not a real grave digger song ;)
they wrote this song, so why not play it live and re-record it? it's their song as well as it's grave digger's. besides, this is the only grave digger song they use to play.
in fact, the latest 2 grave digger albums are a bit lame, unfortunately. anyway, i'm a fan of both bands.
Yeah, i know, but i've never been a fan of new bands re-recording ex-bands' songs... i don't care if they play it live, but there's no need to re-record it.
I'm fan of both bands also, and i really enjoyed ballads of a hangman, a big step forward IMO
OK the song's damn good- right up until the bloody BAGPIPES start playing. I like bagpipe music and I love heavy metal- but some things just DO NOT go together. Otherwise, this is a very good song from a very underrated band. I'm really looking forward to the new Rebellion album- as long as they don't put this one stupid song on it!
@Psycho908 Uwe Lulis - founder of band Rebellion was Grave Diggers guitarist and he is an author of this song. So this is not exactly a cover but second version.
@OleA490 It's Rebellion. It was formed in 2001 when guitarist Uwe Lulis left Grave Digger in 2000, taking ex-Grave Digger bassist Tomi Göttlich with him. Uwe Lulis is an author of Grave Diggers song "Rebellion (Clans Are Marching)". He named his new band with that name and make cover of his own song (this video). Here's original watch?v=Nb93QbUGcL0
@finalbout100000 There are TWO BANDS - Grave Digger and Rebellion. Second one was founded by Grave Digger ex-guitarist Uwe Lulis. Both bands plays this song and call it their own. THIS ONE IS REBELLIONS SONG.
Grave Digger calls it "Rebellion (Clans are marching)"
@finalbout100000 Uwe Lulis (Grave Digger ex-guitarist) is an author of this song. So this is the reason why his own band is named 'Rebellion' and why both bands plays this song.
@IceBioshock They are a spinoff band named Rebellion. It's not just a Tribute band, it actually has an ex-guitarist from Grave Digger in it. He wrote this song, which is why both bands play the song.

I just listened to both the original and the cover, and without being biased, i honestly like Rebellion's cover better.

The bassline during the pipe part isn't as strong as in the original, which gives the bagpipes a strange "out of place" feeling.
