@adwash73 u f'n serious. This was around the time of RISKY BUSINESS, THE OUTSIDERS, and ALL THE RIGHT MOVES. All 3 of these films were released in 83 the same year amityville 3 was.

They should never kill Jason all the way.

They should never vaporize Freddy all the way

They should never butcher up Leatherface all the way.

Because everybody knows there's going to be a freakin sequel sometime or another, and they need to have all their parts n pieces in tact. Just like the old Wendy's Commercial about chicken sandwiches... Parts is Parts. And "Bad Guys" need their parts to continue on.

i'm still waiting for a remake of THE EXORCIST or JAWS, which would obviously be a mistake. These remakes of the 70's and 80's don't live up to their predecessors in my opinion.

The Amity Remake sucked and was an insult to the Defeo's and the Lutzes. The remake of Nightmare on Elm Street had some good dream sequences but without Robert England ? There will only ever be on Freddy. Jaws with CGI ??? No !!!! You saw what they did with Star Wars and thats enouph said. I would like to see IT become a actual film instead of a 2nd rate video.

I thought the remake was decent but Texas Chainsaw Massacre was fair for Platinum Dunes while Friday The 13th was more of a sequel than actual remake. They could have made a film that pretended none of the other AH movies existed and make it like H2O. So you don't think the remake was on par with The Thing or The Fly?

@Johnlindsey289 The remake was awful John.It lacked everything that made the original so suspenseful and spooky in the first place. No real atmosphere, no mood, no great, creepy soundtrack. Same with the TCM and Friday the 13th remakes.The PD remakes are made to cater to young, horny teenage audiences who were brought up on nothing but fast paced, flashy MTV/VH1 videos and completely caters to their juvenile need for fast cutting, loud sound effects and tits and sex, every five freakin minutes.

even though this movie was not scary as part 1 or 2, it was still pretty good. A hell of a lot better than the others. I do remember this trailer in 83. A hell of a lot better than Jaws 3-D. hehe

The fact that Steve was already into the Supernatural and planned all of this. The fact that their whole scam is the real Horror of it all. At first, I didn't like the new directors idea, not to ask George or Kathy anything . His vision was to make a horror movie , Not go after the Defeo's. The movie sukd

I think they sell this movie in 3D on Amazon because it says Amityville 3D on the cover of the movie, but I'm not sure if it comes with the 3D glasses or not though because it doesn't say on the case if it does.

Yes it is. They sell it on Amazon. I'm not sure if it comes with the 3D glasses though because it doesn't say on the cover if it comes with the 3D glasses or not, but it does say Amityville 3D on the cover.

@CJ076 The region 2 version is a 2 disc set. One disc is regular the other is in 3D with glasses. I have it and it's pretty cool.
