Te Kenawa's Violetta is very good. She is moving in the last Act, using her voice to great tragic effect. She has great technique and a gorgeous voice. She was a really good Violetta but unfortunately underrated in the role as her Mozart eclipsed it. I think she does a better Violetta than Fleming. Fleming's voice in Violetta over-decorated the music and was not Verdian in spirit. Te Kenawa understood the music and the role
