  • reminds me of the carcass album "heartwork". i wish that carcass would get back together and make more albums similar to heartwork, i just love that exotic, melodic, sound.

  • @barret2378 Heartwork is THE metal masterpiece

  • Boring solos look back in time the solos was faster n much better cant stand that idiot who kicked liiva

  • he very good at emotional solos

and emotional solos are the best

  • the day of dimebag's death too

  • he died in 2004...

  • @viken1992 Mike died in 2004? lol, hes still alive...

  • It's Intermezzo Liberte, an insturmental piece from Rise of the Tyrant. But michael changed it a bit (:

  • fucking epic

  • dude i prefer the music that comes from the heart, just like michel does in arch enemy

  • Wich song is that???

  • Intermezzo Liberte from their recent album

  • im not an arch enemy fan, but the solos are great. im sick of metal guitarists that just shred all the time, this stuff sounds good.

  • i agree with you even though i dont care for guitars butim sick of metal drummers just going crazy like BAH NA NA NA NA all over the set and i think thats why i love the Arch Enemy drummer because its still insane but controlled...a controlled chaos

  • well metal drumming is my favourite kind of drumming besides jazz of course, but i dont care too much for blast beats. they are necessary sometimes but not for an entire song like some drummers.

  • Exactly, im sorry if what i said didnt come out like that, but i agree with you 100%

  • gary moore style lol!!!!

  • me too

  • if arch enemy wood tour in U.S. there next album wood go platinum

  • Intermezzo Liberte is the Shit

  • I love this solo, well done \m/.

  • yeah chris is one of the more "educated" guitarists(plays lots of scales and modes and the like) and mike is more of a "play from the heart" guitarist. But neither one is over the top in their own way. Its like yin and yang. Perfectly balanced

  • great tone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Arch Enemy fuckin rules ! I've saw them in Paris and it was really amazing ! This solo is called "Intermezzo Liberte", you could rename the video ;)

  • I FUCKN LOVE ARCH ENEMY

  • i agree, faster doesnt mean better

  • the soul and the goal of the solo means better or not.

  • Right, i think Chris is a little faster, but Mike has more feeling.

In the end, they both play on a level that loads of guitarists won´t ever reach.

  • yeah they have a teamwork factor that no one can match... although gates and vengeance from a7x come close. But with these guys, its one melodic guitarist and one shredder- more balanced. Another underrated guitar duo- Travis and Claudio from Coheed & Cambria.

  • that sounds like intermezzo libertie, i think thats b4 they released it on the rise of the tyrant cd

  • this solos great but it sounds like a Randy Rhoads Mr. Crowley rip off at times

  • you a stupid fuck, gtfo sounds like mr.crowey my ass.

  • I really admire Chris Amott's technique and speed and love michaels melodic and soulful playing.. they compliment each other so well..definately my favorite guitar duo..

  • One time when I met the Amott brothers, they both admitted Chris was the better player.

  • damn pretty much all the stuff you guys are saying in here is just wrong. Michael has stated many times that he prefers solos that actually are memorable and can speak to people. Chris Amott is just a little more shreddy like and just likes to shred more than michael.

I wouldnt say hes better at all, maybe in shredding, but michaels rhythm is very solid, he plays effortlessly live.

  • Michael's playing is more of a more powerful and slow playing style which sets him differewnt from people like alexi and other bands out today.

  • no it's not chris's guitar, it's his esp signature, ninja

  • mike tought chris guitar i believe.

  • dude I want that white ninja V

  • sweet a white ninja v

  • I don't know if you know this Kash, but Micheal Amott placed your video on his own myspace. Good job.

  • id go with Laiho...only bc obviously no one hear has heard COB bc he plays plenty of feel but he does tend to do more of a shred...

  • lol, michael amott could smoke alexi.

  • Hahaha, no shit. Alexi is good but Michael is the man.

  • damn...thatz a nice fuckin white ninja hes got...ive never seen a white one...

  • that's a sick wah right there. does anybody know what pedal he's using?

  • i think people will agree with me that rise of the tyrant is absolutly amazing. both the album and the song

  • dude you got it right, i agree with you

  • good question. alexi tends to play very fast and good so with speed he kinda has the edge over amott but when it comes to feeling and good rythem, amott has that edge over laiho. tough to say actually, thats a really good question.

  • True, Laiho is more technical in terms of solo. I prefer Amott by far because of his emotion though. Keep in mind, Laiho is very often drunk on stage and he's gotten sloppy. So, I think Amott would be a far mor interesting person to see live.

  • chris amott is better then both of them.

  • Naw Michaels where its at =)

  • amott

  • This guy writes some of the best leads ever. He's definitely one of my favorite guitarists.

  • Amott is guy. Is a god, and it's my idol :D

  • those avenge sevenfold fuckers got nothing on Amott

  • those A7X ucker got nothing on Amott

  • amott rules

  • nah his bridge pickup is there

  • Michael Amott rules!

  • amott forever
