I've seen way uglier and way worse. Look at the highlight video of the 2004 Penn State vs Iowa game. Penn State scored two safeties, but couldn't move the ball. Iowa scored two field goals, but also couldn't move the ball (their field goals were only because of Penn State fumbles in the worst areas possible). Penn State also missed a few chip shot field goals. It was a game with NFL caliber defense, but MAC or Sun Belt caliber offense. The final score was 6-4 Iowa.
