Here is a kind of cheat:

In that minigame where you chop down this tree, pressing 1 and 2 will make a spider come down at the side of the tree where the opponent is. The opponent will get scared of the spider and stops with chopping.

Its really useful to keep on pressing the 1 and 2 buttons all the time.

Ive been doing some research and it turns out that wii copied PS move.Sony has been working on PS move since 2002 and was supposed to be released in early 2007. Nintendo found out in 2004/2005 .Nintendo released the exact replica of sonys idea back then the wii remote in 2006 so sony thought up the PS move that we have today.(Copy and paste this on other videos so every one knows the truth)
