I'm fairly impressed at the memorization and exploitation of the A.I., the way he's basically nailing it down to a science. I believe that's the point of the video, not some silly concept of "fighting fair" for some sort of lasting achievement of Street Fighter immortality. If you don't like projectiles, check his E. Honda or Zangief videos.

watching both videos I was questioning both the difficulty setting and the small differences between this version and the SNES version. I'm convinced that he used save states because even though he is very good at super street fighter, there were just too many instances where he could have gotten hit and only didn't out of luck. the tiger uppercut at 6:05 was absolute bullshit. the end.

I think you've forgotten the multiplayer aspect of the game. Street Fighter II basically made fighting games the number one genre for competitive gameplay in the early to mid (maybe even late) 90's. Using the same moves over and over can work against the AI but it's a poor or inexperienced player who falls to those kinds of tactics.

Sagat is rock hard when controlled by the computer, but I always found him slow and clumsy to use myself. Was only really any good at the game if I used Ryu/Ken, Guile (probably the best) or Honda.

Unfortunately, that's the only way to truly all-Perfect comp; computer loses to certain patterns so you must repeat those patterns throughout the game to get all-Perfect.

For the record, this is surprisingly close to the basic gamebook of competitive Sagat - same things work on the computer, just more methodically and regularly as computer can't learn to counter you.
