Vile is awesome. He looks like Boba Fett from Star Wars. Even his personality almost matches to that of the bounty hunter. In addition, he's also kinda like Wild Dog from Time Crisis. A semi-boss character who's in more than one game, dies in each one, but always has his way of coming back to fight again.
Hearing Vile get hit with a charged X-Buster shot in Japanese sounds more painful than it does in the English dub, not that the dub was bad or anything.
In order of strongest, X is first, Vile is second, and Zero is 3rd. At the beginning of Mega Man X, X started off behind them but by the end of Mega Man X, he was the strongest and from Mega Man X2 and throughout the X series, X has proved to be the best and the leader of the Maverick Hunters. Even Zero admited that X is stronger than him in X2 and X3.
Zero was wrong. Either that or he meant it in another way. Zero actually is stronger. Many things over the course of the X series and into the Zero series point this out. In the beginning there was a large gap in power but that certainly did close. However not enough. X could be stronger as he has the potential to become more powerful while Zero's power is static but X never quite got there. I'm not even talking about Zero's true self, that just furthers Zero's already superior power.
Yeah,Zero is the Ultimate reploid that is more superior than either both X and Bass.He was created to defeat them both according to Dr.Willy.Besides,in the end of the megaman chronicles,he was the last maverick hunter survived.
It's also personality based: X is more hesitant in his actions when it comes to killing, even if its an enemy.
While Zero has a very deep conviction and will slay anything in his path, not to say hes cold-blooded...but he clearly has no grey areas.
Ironically X is Zero's model for existence and it is hinted within the Telos audio tracks that Zero fought for what X believed because he himself had questioned why he fought for humans, when X continued to fight for them without questioning. X had
Vile's badass yet dumb. Sheesh! What a waste still a whole lot better than that Dynamo character. Ironically, Dynamo must have lived for another day not getting into trouble anymore or whatever.
here is excact wording for vile. I know i beat it in english. from begining to end. v-Ill admit x you have grown stronger. v- But you'll hardley be able to change the world if your dead *kicks*.when zero grabs him he yells v-NOT A CHARGED SHOT.After when sigma approaches him he says. v-I dont get it whats so special about him?.S-vile what were you planning to do. would you stand before me as a maverick hunter would you kneel before me and beg for mercy? V-To tell you the truth I dont really know
Vile pretty much says that X is weak, and that HE (vile) will be the 1 to change the world. Then when zero grabs him and X shoots at him he yells "WHAT! NO A CHARGE SHOT!".
Then sigma asks vile what vile was really planning on doing when he got to sigma. Vile then replies saying "i really don't know". (or some thing like that).
Ah I loved playing as Vile in Maverick Hunter X. A pity he dies in his own ending or at least seems to unless Sigma gives his mechaniloids the order to retreive for repairs. But regardless X1 proved he's tougher than Zero or X. And it's just the same in X3 and X8, Zero and X just always win because they use those damn Hero Points! (anyone who plays SW RPG's will know what I mean :p)
Hmmm...I dunno. Personally, when Vile says "Shosen X wa X da," which translates roughly to "Looks like X is X (useless) after all," it sounds a little more menacing that "Wimp to the very end, X." . Just my opinion.
A friend of mine was telling me how sad this ending was and I looked at him funny and said, "You know for a stone cold fact that he didn't actually die."
Vile is one of the coolest characters ever created and he stole the show in Maverick Hunter X, more than usual that is. Pity it isn't the English version because Vava sounds silly while vile sounds evil :D
I almost cried when I saw Vile snuffed out like that. He was a way cooler character than X ever was. It was pretty anti-climatic, if you ask me. He did all that stuff....all for nothing. ;_;
We all knew this wasn't "canon" anyways, so why couldn't Capcom give vile a break? Sure, they didn't kill Vile in the end here, but they sure humiliated him! What kind of idiot wouldn't try to dodge that charge shot? Or do something? And I also love how X and Zero are "defeated", but they just don't seem to die.
Well, Zero was holding his leg to keep him from dodging it, which happened because Vile because of Vile's overconfidence. At any rate, you do know that Zero just doesn't die, right?
I just don't like the fact that he just stood there like an idiot. Zero only held one of viles legs, not both. I don't think it's unreasonable for Vile to have done something there, but Capcom always has to have X win. Like I said before, we all knew the whole Vile Mode wasn't Real, or canon, capcom could have killed X or Zero if they wanted to. Seems kind of stupid how you can kill them like any other boss, but they're still alive.
Please. You don't kill the heroes unless they're supposed to die. Besides, just because you think it should happen doesn't mean everyone else wants to see it, "canon" or not. Even after beating the game with him, I had my teeth on edge, hoping X would pull it out somehow. I can admit to breathing a sigh of relief when he did. Some of us like it when the good guys win.
I will say, though, that it would have made as much sense for Zero to blow Vile away as it would have for him to grab him.
Ok, let me make one thing clear: Did I ever tell you guys my opinion was the only way to think? It was just what I wanted to see, but if you wanted to see X Kick Vile's tushie in the end, (Which he did), that's cool. I'm not going to be one of those YouTube spoil sports and start swearing at you, or telling you you're wrong, ok? I was just talking about what I wanted to see.
Yes, I about Zero's reputation of dying, but not actually dying. Again though, here, in Vile mode they could have killed him here if they wanted to. I just don't think Capcom should stick to the realities of X mode when telling the story of the most likely fictional Vile mode. It would have been so much funnier to see Vile beat X and Zero for good. After all, he took them both on at once, so what does that say? Is he more powerful?
I mean, Come on! Think about it: X beats Sigma, which means X is more powerful. If Vile beats X, doesn't that make him more powerful than Sigma as well? Vile's a tank!
Zero always got better lines then X, but that's just because X is a pacifist. Ironically, despite Zero's selfless nature in Megaman Zero 4 he said that he called himself a hero, although he never did if he viewed himself as one or not (if he didn't, then there's something wrong with him, although technically there already is considering that the Maverick Virus turns him into a killing machine).
Zero's power if pretty inconsistent actually. He's depicted as being stronger then X in the SNES and is depicted as being his equal in all the others (although Zero did once acknowledge X as his superior). Also, what I meant by the Maverick Virus turning Zero into a killing machine is that he turns into a total berserker that attacks anything that moves.

@:44- Zero says
"Sekaiwokaerudato!? Irregular no kangaekatada!
Is this right? I know for sure Zero says nothing of Elysium. Is it along the lines of "Change the world!? That's the thinking of an Irregular!"
If so, that would've been better than, "Sounds like Maverick talk to me!"
