i don't have a problem with disney movies or walt disney (a genius), i have a problem with the disney channel and some of the activities the corporation has been engaging in, such as promoting talentless tweeny "bands" and "singers" on the basis of looks and popularity. that being said, quite a few of the movies are still good. wall-e, for example, was excellent. however, it is still highly possible to have problems with disney for other reasons.
DUDE thats awesome! I just checked you out on IMDB! sweet man how was it working on this project? I totally geek out when I meet/know people who've been in a movie.
A give this movie A gold star because honestly, It was the perfect balance of sadness, drama, action, comedy,so forth. The only thing i might like a little more than bolt is I AM Legend because lets face it, Will Smith is Awsome!!!!!
I loved, LOVED this movie! It was sooooo cute, kept my attention the entire film. I saw it with my daddy, who didn't wanna go but I convinced him to and he loved it!
If they make sequel, it will make more money AND will be better. Pixar has taken over the studio behind the scenes. Trouble is John Lassiter doesn't like sequels.
Umm... you do know that John Lassiter directed Toy Story and he WANTED to do Toy Story 2 (which he also directed.) By the way, this isn't a pixar movie.
Yes. It's Disney's in-house studio. I really want them to make a sequel. I think this concept could really grow due to the fact that Bolt has fans now like the other popular CGI films. If Ice Age (20th Century Fox) has fans coming back and then some for the sequel, why won't this.
Obviously you can't make a sequal to everything. How would they make a sequal to a movie about a dog who thinks he is a superhero who saves Penny in a TV show (which he doesn't know about) *****SPOILER****** then finds out he is on a TV show and they quit? *****NO MORE SPOILERS*****
You can't make a sequal just to see your favorite characters again! You have to have a story and plot, and there just isn't enough to make a another movie! It would be fun to see a Bolt 2, but what will it be about?
When you bring money into the equation anything's possible. Disney has not had a true blockbuster CGI non-Pixar film. They could throw out the rule book and do something different or just make the same type of movie again. They would at least have to bring in one or two new characters or give the pigions a bigger role. I'm not a script writer so I don't know where to begin.
You can't have a 90 minute movie about Mittens and her boyfriend. What will Bolt do? You can't change the story of teh lastr film to make a movie you want! Bolt needs to have the knowledge that he had at the end of this movie, Penny and the Mom don't have an agent anymore, So what could they possibly do for an hour and a half! YOU CAN'T MAKE SEQUALS TO EVERYTHING YOU SEE! Yes, there could be a story that could work but this is not a movie to make a series out of! It couldn't work! If you...
Where there's a will, there's a way. I would green-light a sequel in a heartbeat!!! John Lassiter was the producer and made changes to Bolt after he took over. I don't THINK there will be a sequel. Walt Disney is a large corporation and they're in it for profit margin! If they want a sequel, Disney get's a sequel. Right now there are bigger sequel fish to fry but big movie studios love sequels because they already have an audience.
woke up one morning to find a Bolt TV series on the Disney Channel, that wouldn't surprise me in the least. Do you understand what I'm saying? Walt never believed in sequals, he always wanted original movie. This is like Wall-E. How could there possibly a sequal to Wall-E. Believe me, I want to see that robot again on the big screen but how could they do that? Go in space again? Find a plant AGAIN? Meet EVE AGAIN?!?!?! It's like making a sequal to ET. You can't do it! if you did, it would suck
"When you bring money into the equation anything's possible." By the way, Walt NEVER EVER EVER believed in making a movie just for the money, he wanted to entertain the audience. He built Disneyland to be with his wife and his girls, where families can watch a movie, or ride an attraction together and make memories together! Obviously this is a movie but it's the same thing. "I would rather entertain and hope that people learned something than educate people and hope they were entertained."...
Disney NEVER wanted to become a studio where making movies isn't fun anymore. They just make movies for the almighty dollar. "or just make the same type of movie again" THAT IS MY POINT!!!!! HOW COULD YOU MAKE A MOVIE WITH THIS ENDING A SEQUAL! NOTHING WAS LEFT HANGING! NOTHING PREPARED ME FOR A SEQUAL! NOTHING WOULD MAKE SENSE FOR A SEQUAL! By the way, John Travolta would NEVER do a sequal to this, and DEFINITLY not a series! I don't understand how you could make a sequal to this without...
screwing with Walt Disney's dreams, and Disney would NEVER do that. If they made a sequal, it would come out in 5 years, because the writers would be skimming this movie for anything that resembles a plot point for a sequal. "They would at least have to bring in one or two new characters or give the pigions a bigger role" OF COURSE! You don't know anything about sequals do you? If you don't see new characters in a sequal, than you did it wrong. To have a sequal to this movie is absurd.
Wait, what? You started saying that this movie NEEDS to have a sequal! and you started making all of these sub plots and possibilities and you said that "where there's a will there's a way"
Actually you can make a sequel to anything, it just may really suck. But alot of movies would be good with sequels, Mr. Brooks, Cloverfield. But of course you cannot make a sequel to a true story. But BOLT could have an excellent sequel, Disney seems to like to do it with their movies, Cinderella, Fox and the Hound, Snow White, ect.....
Well yeah, some movies would be good with sequals. I would like to see a prequal to Cloverfield. When did Snow White make a sequal? By the way, Walt Disney HATED making sequals. He said that it is a rip on an original story.
Sorry was thinking of something else, I bet if they did do a cloverfield 2 it would be military point of view and it would give background info. Walt may have hated em but Disney makes more sequels than anyone else, Dreamworks is catching em though with crap like Ice Age 3 and Shrek 3.....
PERFECT IDEA! Disney should make a show on Disney channel where it takes place AFTER BOLT When( SPOILERS AHEAD!) Penny, bolt, the cat and rhino all live on the farm ^_^
I just got back from seeing a 3-D showing of it. The movie was cool but the 3-D didn't stand out like it did in other movies. The only thing that seemed to "jump off the screen" were zoom in shots of plants or forrests. You didn't miss much by not seeing it in 3-D. Now if Wall-E was in 3-D than......
I'll be honest... this film just felt like another slapped together Disney 'product' to me. If you look at Disney animation back in their golden periods (when Walt was alive and during the late 80s/mid 90s), and compare them to Bolt... there's no comparison. The pacing is all off, the emotinal content feels extremely forced, and the gags are about as good as amusing as those found in a Saturday morning cartoon. Great review though! You're easily one of the best film critics on YouTube.

I agree. Disney is GREAT! I love the parks and the films are incredible, but I can't go anywhere without seeing a picture of Miley Cyrus or The Jonas Brothers. I even saw a Wizards Of Waverly Place (or whatever it's called) panty line.
fury, you should tape your will just incase you suddenly vanish since you didn't give this, a Disney movie a perfect score. lol. I absolutely loved Wall-E and im not the type of person to enjoy animated movies now a days and that goes double for Disney. Anyways i kinda knew this movie wouldn't be special with out even seeing it. Sounds wrong, but most animated movies today are basically the same with the exception of something fantastic and outside of the box like Wall-E was.

Thank you for replying to my comment, and yeah, lighting and effects are as important (not just CGI). Your right about some people only watching movies because of action, and other things. But I think films like Amelie will never be made in Hollywood for a different reasons. One major reason is Amelie is a French film, and its the style that French films are like. Each country has a different style.
the reasone i dont like disney anymore is becaue they havent made a good animated film sience fantasia 2000 but, before that they would make great films like hunchback lion king fantasia beauty and the beast and i coulld go on and on
ok if you say so then i will give bolt a try. when i first saw the trailer for some reasone it reminded me movies like the reascureres oliver and company and the fox and the hound
MegaMasterofDarkness- Ugh, why do you want me to endure Twilight? I get my vampire fix watching True Blood. Maybe when it comes out on DVD I just don't wanna see it that guy is weird looking. Also, Alice in Wonderland, I'm pretty excited for it I just hope its not 190 minutes of Overacting.
I don't care, I'm gonna say it. I hate Disney now days. They were freaking amazing back in the day, but I just don't want to have to deal with all their other garbage they make.
But putting that aside, I guess they could still make great things if they wanted to. Would you compare this to something they made, say, more than ten years ago? But I guess that's not fair. I'll probably end up seeing this movie in the future when it's on DVD or TV, and then I'll judge it. I should give it a chance.
Maby I should have been a bit clearer. For most of their movie efforts, I don't hate them, but they just aren't what they used to be. As for their TV efforts... I'll just stop right there.
SurooshX- I totally said that to incite the Disney haters. It cracks me up. I think Bolt is a step in a better direction for Disney, they still don't got that MAGIC that would make their movies instant classics but it's not nearly as bad as their previous efforts. But if you got a kid, this movie will win some points for you if you take em to see it.
Like I just said to GaiashKetoji, it's not so much that I hate their big screen efforts, but they really aren't the Disney I remember. Toy Story is one of my favorite movies. I just want to see a Disney movie that brings me back to the old days. But I think I'm asking too much.
I've gotta agree with FuryoftheFilmFan here. I am a huge fan of action blockbusters with compelling drama and a huge disser of poorly made 'disaster movies,' but Bolt really has a good plot going on.
About the 'magic,' though, it might be just me, but I really felt it when I re-examined the plot of the movie. I felt it was a great love story (between a master and her pet - nothing indecent, mind you ;) ) where two desperate beings are trying to get back to each other. It touches me that way. :)
Hello.Welcome to Fury of the Film Fan. Please read the video info for my thoughts about how long this video is. Also, you can check out my site where all my videos are intro free.yes! a whole 30 seconds shorter! Thanks for stopping by!
Ah cool, I'm glad it's going to be good. I wasn't even thinking of comparing it to Wall-E though, I don't think any other animation is going to come close to that, at least for a while.
oh you agree? o.o thats a suprise lol but i meant it literally. look up "Disney and the dark manipulation of the young mind" and you see what i mean. there is much more like that in the related video section too.

I really hate when people say this about Disney. They have still been releasing great movies such as Enchanted and Wall-E.

GaiashKetoji- I personally love Disney. I can't help it.
FuryoftheFilmFan 3 years ago
Same here. They have so many amazing films new and old.

SurooshX- Not at all, I would love a Disney movie that takes me back to Lion King , Disney will bounce back
FuryoftheFilmFan 3 years ago
agreed. lion king was awesome classic.

I don't mind a video being too long, but the intro is the same every time.

I wanted to see this film, but I saw a piece of crap overhyped movie instead.

You know that would explain why the film is called "The First Avenger: Captain America" and not just Captain America. hmmm..
Good review.

Ah cool, I'm glad it's going to be good. I wasn't even thinking of comparing it to Wall-E though, I don't think any other animation is going to come close to that, at least for a while.
