Yeah, there is a ton of people who fish for just carp, but soft lures are making major in roads now. Especially in seafishing. People are waking up to the use of soft lures big time.
Its a great shame that the major tackle stores in the US are so greedy when it comes to shipping to the UK, as I know of loads of people wanting to try these, just not get stung with a straight 45% shipping rate
Enjoyed your fish; what lake were you on? Those darters looked like a great alternative to a standard french fry. Reminded me of the "rib worm" type of baits, which always seemed to work better.
One of the lakes is lake Saltonstal in East Haven, CT. The other is a smaller pond called in Wallingford, CT called North Farms Reservior. We also fished Candlewood lake in CT.
