  • pretty sterile

  • This is such a sad rehash of a truly classic track, with none of the energy, vibe, fusion and story telling of the original that I am so sad I clicked on the link to listen to it. Fantastic quality, and I can't fault the musicianship, but the Pursuit of Accidents is a classic track that is almost being parodied here.

Please listen to the recording with the original band instead.

That is energy; this version sounds like going through the motions.

  • gary husband on keyb. is AMAZING!!!! Great solo!!!

  • Eeeh... it reminds me of the old BBC Test Card muzak. If only they had a young lass (Carole Hersee) fronting the band whilst playing noughts and crosses against Bubbles the clown doll, the illusion would be complete!

  • lovely stuff. shame the mix doesnt bring out the drums a bit more. Apart from that a pure pleasure to watch/listen to.

  • Absolutely fantastic, nothing Mark does is second rate..love his playing......gary Husband...oh yeah!

  • Le Génie et la Soul sont réunis on est suspendus ..

  • I was at this gig. The FOH mix was nothing like this vid. The bass was high as it should be. The tone on this vid is nothing like the live tone I heard. This sounds flat and dull. The live tone was classic Mark King,, deep, bright chorus sounding E and A strings and Very transparent highs.

  • by the way, you spelt pursuit wrong on the video title within the vid ;) (can you tell my parents were teachers!)

  • wonderful quality, love it

  • saxophone taking the lead sounds really lovely- a bit steely dan dare I say? A song 20 years old sounds so nice, has matured so well.

  • brilliant, but the sequencing spoils it :/

  • Great playing but the mix is awful. I'm surprised they released it.

  • funk funk funky FUNK! :D

  • Gary Husband is such a amazing player ,WOW!

  • @76alembic Yes, better keyboard player than I thought he was.

However, Pete Ray Biggin is far superior on the drums. I saw L42 here in L.A. last year and he was off the hook on the kit.

  • @presidentsherman ;He is a very different drummer ,not superior. At the level these guys play at ,they are all great !.

  • Love it!

  • No matter how bad a day your having, vintage Level will sort you out. Works like a charm for me.

  • The 1st 40 secs is sublime - can't go with the electrnoic Sax - no matter how Retro it is..!

  • This is the highest quality video available that shows off Mark's virtuosity. Well done and thanks.
