My son has a permanent brain damage during the birth process and he cant see / walk or talk -- but can eat and can cry . Just lying on the bed and only involuntary movements .
His age is about 2 years now . Can you please help me in this case ? Or any one knows please pass this to me
@sirzahur Oxygen can help. But understand how to calculate partial pressure. Mean sea level pressure is 14.7 PSI. Mild hyperbaric chambers give +4 PSI. 18.7/14.7 = 1.27 (Approx 1.3 atmospheres or ATA).
Take the percentage of oxygen in the air and multiply it by the ATA to get partial pressure of O2, which is what the body will respond to.
@sirzahur - You should understand also that putting a toddler in a pressure chamber will hurt them. Their ears will cause them pain.
You can talk to a physician about trying hydergine. For a child that size approximately 1 - 2 mg/day is probable.
You can talk to a physician about trying piracetam at 2000 to 4000 mg per day for a child that size. Piracetam has lower toxicity than table salt. Together these stimulate nerve growth in the brain, and so does oxygen.
@sirzahur - Also Positive stimulation. Play lots of music of different styles. See what your child responds to.
Do what is called "patterning". You can pick up your child and teach the child movements by repeating the movements many times, moving their limbs. This effect has been successful with severely brain damaged adults also. But, it takes hundreds of repetitions, over and over again.
There are likely to be permanent limits. But do your best to awaken what you can. Best to you dear.
Yes the problem is brain damage - cerebral palsy and PVL. She has high muscle tone which makes her stand up on her tip toes if it is not managed with botox injections and hyperbaric oxygen treatments (when financially able.)
Awesome! Perhaps technology will continue to develop for smaller, lighter, and less expensive portable home Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy chambers. Perhaps cud even start off by offering units for rent on a weekly basis.
@upcycle the funny thing is they do now they sell these hbotc for homes now its about time this is getting out to the public we still need to spread the word and let people know to stop taking poisons and meds tht have side effects these purscribed meds kill more people then most things on this planet and they say people who r sick deserve it to control the population messed up i know but its time for people to know the truth and spread this miracle cure
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is now available in Mississauga, Ontario which is a suburb just west of Toronto at Under Pressure Inc. The Hyperbaric Healing Centre 905-274-2032.
Go Taegan! My son has left - sided hemiparesis, so I understand how exciting it is when they take off like that. My goodness, she has an absolutely BEAUTIFUL gait pattern, especially considering her diagnosis! We haven't done HBOT yet, but we've tried such things as Feldenkrais and the Therasuit method. We have found them to be extremely helpful as well. I think we're going to look into HBOT next, as we've heard such wonderful things about it.
My daughter has done about 65 hours of HBOT and made a lot progress so far and now she is walking better with her walker. This treatment really does work! Your daughter is beautiful and doing so well. Keep updating!
OMG!!! Tears swelled in my eyes as I watched that beautiful little girl walk flat footed without her braces. Its a God Given Miracle! This is proof that HBO WORKS! I would love for her old fashion DR's to see her now! I am so happy for her and YOU!!! Alli and I can't wait to see you two!!!
great success! keep it going little baby!

O2 concentrators use liters per minute (LPM).
With cannula in nose use this table:
1 LPM 25%
2 LPM 29%
3 LPM 33%
4 LPM 37%

@sirzahur - Continued.
Cannula table only goes to 4 LPM because above that it causes irritation of the nasopharynx.
With a properly fitted mask on an oxygen concentrator use:
6 LPM to 10 LPM between 35% and 60% oxygen.
The range is because masks don't all fit well. And if low is low relative to breathing rate outside air will be sucked in.
So, you need to calculate what oxygen level will be. Without chamber, 60% oxygen is higher than the partial pressure probably is without mask in one.
