no,he is not a Samarkandi Jew,he is Iranian-azeri from Samarkand. But he sings with Abram Tolmasov,Samarkandi Jew. There are approx. 200000 Iranian-azeris live in Samarkand and we used to have a very good relations with everyone,especially with Bukharian Jews.Nasiba Abdullayeva,Rustam Samarkandi,Erkin Muhsinov and many other Iranian-azeri singers,used to sing and work with Abram Tolmasov.
@tabrizsam After collapse of the USSR, almost all the Jewish people living in USSR,immigrated to Israel,US,EU...Abram Tolmasov also immigrated first to Israel,then to US and offered Rustam to come with him and work. As u see it is very succesful.Long live Abram,long live Rustam
