3.2 after the install on crappy tires. (Very hard to launch). I recently put the 3.4 back on b/c its easier on the tires plus its winter and I need them to last. Notice how his rpm just jumps sparraticly during the roll on! Thats the cam... makes it really easy to break the tires loose
yea i get stuttering abit too whenever i give it a lot of gas. I have no idea what it is, any idea kno wat? my plugs and distributer rotar need changing. is maybe that it?
shit, my car is stuttering a little like yours, which O2 sensor was it ? rear or at the manifold, i wonder if thats it ? i thought it would be a my plugs, at 91 k miles it could be that too
i had the same guages and they gave me nothing but trouble..... kept blinkin on and off then the would bulge in the winter and the needls would get stuck.the sttill look awesome.
Usually the 2-3 is between 90 and 95, but my shifts are altered a little bit. I've had it over 140mph and it still hadn't shifted into 4th yet. These cars are geared extremely high. Final drive is 2.93. Some guys go with 3.29 gears which come standard with the Comp G, and some go with 3.69's, which are geared way too low in my opinion. First gear is pretty much useless with both the 3.29's and 3.69's.
yea i agree with the amount of torque these things have, having them geard so high seems to help them out instead of lets say my vision which was a competitor with the GP in the 90's rides out 2nd til bout 70...so i think having them any lower would hurt them(besides maybe the SE's & GT's, etc.) but yeah ive always thought it odd for first to last til 50 also...yet it seems to rocket through first
@slammedGP I've had my car with 3.29's at 155mph and still in 3rd.... Also, if you still got that car man, raise those shift points with the cam if your springs allow it.
think you could put what all your mods/supporting mods are in the video description? to be getting 35 mpg and this kind of performance would be badass as hell
The original motor had a bad misfire, and i wasn't seeing very good mileage. Now with all the mods, i see 35 mpg highway. Far better than stock. It has a really nice tune too though.
Thanks, i put a lot of blood and sweat into the build, and i only ever got 1 run at it's full potential. I've since had problems with the headers rubbing the downpipe and the vibrations eat O2 sensors. Once i get that fixed i'll be able to get it to the track.
Ebay, but they are a pain to find. they've stopped selling them, but another company has a very similar set still. I'll have to search the name of the company though.
Well, it was running extremely rich due to that O2 sensor, and running the 3.4 pulley, but yes, i have an Overkill PCM, which IMO is easily one of the best PCM's you can buy. Will tunes teh tranny to shift differently, and i'm shifting at 6100rpm.
Well, i still have that same bad O2 sensor in right now. They keep going bad from the vibrations from the DP hitting the swaybar, so once i get that fixed i can put a new O2 in and finally feel what my car is actually capable of.
Hey, little tip....if yer DP is hitten the sway bar....put polyurethane upper motor mounts in. And if you dont feel like spending the 65 bucks that they cost... do what I did w/ my GTP and turn yer stock motor mounts 90* it will reduce the engine movement greatly and should stop yer DP from hitten
That was one of my first mods. The Pacesetters hang down even lower than the stock DP though, so no matter what i'm gonna have to flip the swaybar to keep it from hitting the DP. Sucks, but whatever, i didn't want to spend $700 on SLP's or TOGs.
yeah....im going to eventually be putting TOG's in mine..not this year tho. I'm gunna bite the bullet w/ the stock manifolds for another year, cause this spring im doing the SLP cat back system, and the RT 3''DP/Hi flow cat/Ubend deliete all in 1 piece (wich will hook directly up to TOG's when i eventually get them).
Where did you get the gauge faces and lights? They are awesome.

@Sasquatch322 Stop pinning it until you change your catylitic converter, it's probably clogged and it's a real easy way to blow your engine

288 000km. Commuting 150km per day really adds up. The new motor only has about 170 000 on it though.

Looks like it's got some pretty good power up top. How did you get 2nd gear to hit almost 100 mph? Did you raise the shift points?

Well, it was running extremely rich due to that O2 sensor, and running the 3.4 pulley, but yes, i have an Overkill PCM, which IMO is easily one of the best PCM's you can buy. Will tunes teh tranny to shift differently, and i'm shifting at 6100rpm.
