Another thing: There's not a lot of details on the plots of any of Cave's shmups translated to english. Sure, the plot doesn't have that much bearing to the game but it does provide it some flavor. I wonder if anyone ever translated the story scenes?
Yeah, but the boss at the end almost makes it not worth it. The only final bosses I can see that're beatable without getting hit are the ESP-series bosses, Deathsmiles' boss (maybe), and Progear's boss. Ketsui might also count but that requires some insane dodging.
It makes me wonder if Cave purposefully made the final bosses impossible to beat on one life, just to kick players in the pants after playing their game for so long. =P

Have you seen the story for DoDonpachi? It's pretty hilarious when you manage to loop it.

Well, there *is* the same boss that spews out harder patterns, but not in Arrange mode.
And I was only lucky cuz I signed up for Director really really long ago. XD
