  • It seems that I have finally found GOD! It is Mike Oldfield! He is the one!

And the goddess is Hayley Westenra! Amazing they are, amazing their performance is, and their music...it is magnificent, beautiful and breathtaking! :-)

    Do you agree with me?

  • Just beautiful

  • they are both amazing,outstanding

  • God damn that is gorgeous!!!! I am disappointed that the sheep in my country (usa) are cloth eared nincompoops!!!! They can only recognise and appreciate plastic money machine music. And thats just music. Lets not attempt to discuss how the world works or who made the sun!!! Aslan help me, I'm surrounded by dufflepuds.....

THANKYOU MIKE for giving us such beautiful music and peace of mind!!!!!

  • This is excellent, They should collaborate more in the future. Bring on Hergest ridge and Ommadawn re-releases!!!

  • wow i didnt know haley sang that thats amazing that they perform together

  • to sie majk na tej gitarze nagrał 0.o

  • Hayley is still just as cute, is she single?

  • Excelente voz, Excelente música e Excelente compositor e músico. 5*****

  • Always been a fan of Mike Oldfield. He's looking a tad embarmed these days, but just as talented as ever...

  • Mike is right, Hayley is the best voice for this particular piece of music. Not surprisingly as she sings everything beautifully and he has always chosen his vocalists and musicians wisely. Maggie Reilly, Anita Hegerland, Bonnie Tyler (!), Pierre Moerlan, etc. I really hope these two collaborate some more in the future, two of the very best at what they do.

  • WHAT a treat to find Hayley Westenra and Mike Oldfield peforming together! Does it get any better?!?!?!? Too short, but nevertheless... this is bliss...

  • i live near bilbao, i am very proud of being in the gugenheim, when mike released music of spheres there , amazing, his music touch soul

  • WOOOOO!! That was spectacular! I'm playing that song in my marching band this year. I didn't know there was a vocal part to it! Cool! :P

  • I soooo LOVE this song. the choice of instruments really compliment her voice. hauntingly beautiful. truly!

  • Oh my god. She's... wonderful O.O

  • This song sends chills down my spine. Just... the way she sings it... phenomenal

  • This song sends chills down my spine. Just... the way she sings it... phenomenal

  • However this is the best album of Mike Oldfield in the XXI Century.

  • I agree. I love it. It's so beautifull...

  • Sure, this Century is not his best Century

    JAJAJAJAJA

  • Some parts of her voices reminds me Enya.

  • She must sing for Mike!

    It must be PERFECT

  • Though it doesn't seem possible, Hayley keeps getting better. I can't think of anyone performing today who can match her in this kind of haunting, mysterious vocal. She must be the most under-utilized mega talent in the music industry.

  • This is pretty clearly the best work I have ever heard her do - by quite a large margin.

  • On my heart The nights are drawing in Above, the stars are spiralling And Heaven, Earth are roaming in a spin Memories of light and laughter Hope and peace from far here after Oh in heaven, wings of angels from a dream On my heart The nights are drawing in Above, the stars are spiralling And Heaven, Earth are roaming in a spin
  • Well this is Hayley.. the present and the future of the music...

  • Shes immense..

    And really pretty too :D

Over time her voice has gained a vibrato

    Its soo cool :D

Look up some vids when she was younger, like when she sang 'Wuthering Heights' by Kate Bush in 2004....Its a lot better here

    yay Hayley!

  • Hi sugarpuffsandwich,

I'm a huge Oldfield-Fan for more than 25 years... he made about 25 albums with totally different kinds of music (classical, rock, folk, electronic and mixtures of them all). Some albums are spectacular, others more for relaxation. Fantastic are for example the new album 'Music Of The Spheres' (classical orchestral work), 'The Songs Of Distant Earth' (electronic, kind of space symphony), 'Tubular Bells II' (New Age/Rock/Folk/...).

  • Wow Hayley looks wonderful here, what a class act!!! And thanks to Mike as well.

  • When doesn't Hayley look wonderful?

  • That was excellent.

Can anyone recommend any CDs by Mike Oldfield? He was a bit before my time lol.

  • Hi sugarpuffsandwich,

Oldfield made about 25 albums with very different styles. Fantastic are Music Of The Spheres (classical orchestral work), The Songs Of Distant Earth (electronic space symphony), Tubular Bells II (new age, rock, folk,...),...

  • Don't forget Ommadawn (maybe his best work), Hergest Ridge(hearing 90 guitars at the same time is intersting), Incantations, and by many loved and many cursed Amarok (probably the most unique album ever).

  • sugarpuffsandwich; if you like this then of all the Oldfield albums you might get on with 'Hergest Ridge', 'Ommadawn' and perhaps his previously most orchestral piece; 'Incantations'.

  • Well, my favourite is Amarok, The Song of DIstant Earth, and of course Tubular Bells (1, 2). Other albusm are also great, however i never liked Millenium Bell :-) Voyager is amazing as well :)

  • Crises is a great album, Tubular Bells 2 is another, but, surely, Five Miles Out is worth a mention?

  • @stillfivemilesout Yes. Five Milles Out is my vavourite album. Very deep, indeed.

  • @stillfivemilesout Five Miles Out is my personal favourite album. So yes, I would agree! Taurus II is just awesome.

  • Listen to Ommadawn, The Song of Distant Earth, you should love it ;-)

  • Wow here too :)

    i love this album!

  • Mike on the telly is always nice :D

  • fantástico, thanks

  • Whouahh !!!

Thank you very much for that live video. What a pity this song is too short...
