Hmmm, that's weird because I just watched the film and there aren't any real clips from this commercial in the movie. However, there is a scene where Joan walks down her steps in the house and looks back up at her kids' bedroom similar to the way she does in this commercial. That might be what it was.
Just mute the video, without the introduction to the wizard of oz music, and the words about peace and happiness, you would easily guess that this was a horror movie, the pause as she walks down the step and looks back at the door she just closed to the room containing the body that she had just killed. no i didnt obviously,but more than one celbriteys of the time who KNEW her and her HOME life said that she wasnt that way,Marlene Dietrich,myrna loy(who had known her since 1925),jack carson,ann blyth,Barbara stanwyck etc. and the two actresses who hated her were some of the ONLY two people who said its true(Bette davis,Helen hayes)

everything WAS for show then because of the studio systems. You could only say or do what they would let you. Joan did the best she could with her children given all of the Hollywood hullabaloo. Besides, if children were more disciplined today, the kids would not be into so much trouble. And she may have been manic- depressive, so am I and that was a stupid thing to say! Christina bore nothing, she waited on her mother to die so she could be in the spotlight. How sad.....

Hmmm, that's weird because I just watched the film and there aren't any real clips from this commercial in the movie. However, there is a scene where Joan walks down her steps in the house and looks back up at her kids' bedroom similar to the way she does in this commercial. That might be what it was.

Just mute the video, without the introduction to the wizard of oz music, and the words about peace and happiness, you would easily guess that this was a horror movie, the pause as she walks down the step and looks back at the door she just closed to the room containing the body that she had just killed. Notice at around1:20 there is a children's carousel, important for any horror movie. Watch out for the hangers. But Joan, even though at times you were scary ,I still love ya!
