To the people below when you play a song if you play it at the same tempo as on the album it FEELS slow. If you play it a little faster it adds energy which is what you're trying to show the most in a love performance. Of course nerves could've played into it to but a lot of bands play their stuff slightly faster to add a feeling of energy to it

Silversun Pickups...literally picks up where Smashing Pumpkins left off. I have heard a lot of indie/alternative bands in my life time and this band rocks. Dont get me wrong Smashing Pumpkins is one of the best alt bands that have been but Silversun Pickups wakes us up to what we loved best about this music. I have been waiting for songs like Lazy Eye since (1995 - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness)

Letterman has always had a ridiculously strict time limit on his musical guests, and this song is almost 6 minutes long. So it was either cut off the entire second half of the song, or just play really fast, almost at double time, and get to play the whole song (or almost all of it)

This is the best song written to date. It's going to be extremely hard to top this. You can tell the impact the song made when you listen to Dave Leterman's closing comments. I think the Silver Sun Pickups need to go back to their Silverlake house, put blankets on all the windows, send someone to the liquor store to get their buzz and chill on another master piece that will blow our minds like Lazy Eye.

@urmother137 I'll give you that he's very energetic, but by being so energetic he is sacrificing a tight feel. His drumming is sloppy and all over the place. Not a solid groove. As for unique, it's just a standard 4/4 drum groove. The rest of the band great, they could just use a better drum. IMHO
