Clearly there was no zan shin, and what about good form, he looked off-balance to me; too bad they changed the rules and eliminated raphael's signature takedown shooting in for the legs, he was so exciting to watch then, he is still exciting but it is too bad the WKF ruins their own sport everytime things start to get spectator friendly.

This is the 2010 WKF World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the quarter final match in the -76 kg division. There are no more Open Divisions at the World Championships. I just left the finals and Aghayev won his 4th World Championship at age 25.

Its called scorpion kick but scoring probably not does not have potential to do a lot of damage you kicking against your range limited against opposite to way the joint works

Everyone is talking about the kick here at the tournament. There is nothing in the rules that says you cannot do it, but I am positive it will be brought up in the WKF Referee Council. Aghayev started doing his now infamous take down by reaching down and grabbing both legs - wrestling style. It scored for awhile then everyone started doing it. The referee council finally addressed it specifically and put in the rules that techinique is illegal. They will have to address this kick as well.

To avoid some confusion, at about the 3:25 minute the video skips. The doctor was called and it took a long time so I edited it out. While with the doctor, Japan's tooth fell out and landed on the floor. It look for awhile that the doctor was not going to let him continue. They put some gauze in his mouth and he fought the rest of the match like that. That is why the referee went straight to C1 Hansoku Chui on Aghayev when the video continues. He had to according to the rules.
