  • great work, buddy

  • Nice cab

  • Are u selling this

  • this is great for kids size...people now built tiny working sizes because plug n play retro games now are cheap which people built a cabinet around it.

  • this would be a medi...mini are now smaller

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM You're an idiot.

  • @jaythom256

whoa you're like the best verbal sparring partner ever.. thats SO COOL.. ladies, is this guy not the coolest??

  • @FoxifiedNutjob Go troll somewhere else dude.

  • That's a really cool cab espeshally for a little kid. The only thing I suggest is that you update the computer it's running on because it's kinda laggy when it's going through the hyperspin weel

  • Man that really is cool as f .... your kid is very lucky ... All father should be into old skool gaming as a prerequisite to the job ...

Man I just noticed all the menu features ... that really is amazing ... well done you .. Have a beer on me : )

  • I recently built two mini arcade machines of the same size as your's, using Jakks Pacific TV games for the actual game play. (Type "The Minicab Saga" into the search to find it.)

I am wondering where you got the control panel overlay, side art and the monitor bezel from and how much they cost each.

  • Oops! I meant type "The Minicab Saga!" into the Youtube search to find the video about the cabinets.

  • wow impressive frontend gui

  • very nice work, and playing. i nothiced when you paused the game it had a diagram of what buttons the game uses and there purpose, is that a feature of HyperSpin or is it something else

  • That feature is called CPWizard by Ben Baker, AKA Headkaze. You can find it on his software website, headsoft or you can go to the GameEx website and find it in the forum there. Headkaze lurks and answers questions there. Tell em jthompson sent you.

  • thanks i found it cant wait to try it ou!

  • looks good!...I would turn off the advanced transitions in HyperSpin though...you will get a lot less stutter.

Nice cab...your son is lucky! :D

  • Thanks billpa. I recognize your name from the Hyperspin forums. I lurk there occasionally.

It would probably help if I was using a build of HS that was newer than around 7.0 as well. Thanks for the tip and all the work you have done on the project.

  • This is kick ass! Skillful playing with only one hand for the joystick and fire button too. ;-)

  • Thanks!

  • What kind of front end are you using for MAME? It looks freakin' sexy! I wish you would have done some narrating in the video, you did a hiking video a few months back where you did a lot of talking and spoke to the camera. I found it to be much more entertaining and engaging. The Cabinet looks even more beautiful up close on camera. I can't imagine having 50 games when I was your son's age. When I was that age I had 5 Atari 2600 games and 3 of them sucked. Great video, thanks for posting it.

  • Thanks Luke. I don't usually do a lot of talking on my vids but I'll keep it under consideration. The front end is called Hyperspin. Very easy to use and set up and graphically very intense. The templates for each game can take up a lot of space though, so a big hard drive is recomended.
