I think these results are accurate. However, E=mc^2 is correct for a 3-dimentional (or 4 if you consider time), but I think that these neutrinos could be accessing a greater dimension to give us this result. We can't perceive these greater dimensions. You're still the man Einstein!

Wow... I sort of hope this is true. It would destroy a huge number of asumptions we have made when observing the universe and open up a whole new set of possibilities. Or it could be instrumentation/observer error. But it would surprise me that researchers would make this announcement in haste. Mind you it has happened before.

Every second, in the region of the Earth, about 65 billion solar neutrinos pass through every square centimeter perpendicular to the direction of the sun. How do they know the neutrinos measured aren't background neutrinos? They just HAVE TO assume they are background neutrinos. Any other approach is childish.
Rusi Taleyarkhan couldn't explain why do his results allow nuclear fusion to occur at room temperature. Turned out he measured background neutrinos which completely corrupted his results.
