  • Do I need to cut the skin off apples if I blend them into juice ?

  • Good analysis... I agree! I juice hard veggies like carrots, beets, celery, cucumbers and blend the fruits(except for hard green apples) I also blend the leafy vegetables! I also add flax seed powder to the whole mixture to make my smoothies!

  • We should juice the vegetables and blend the fruits. My strong examples: a juice from the carrots and a paste (mousse) from the apples. It's better to eat the whole content of the fruits, and only the essential elements of vegetables - a juice. I don't see the sense of making a juice from the fruits! So many profitable things we lose then, and it gets a weaker taste.

  • I already know how to juice. Watched the video cause ur super cute

  • the raw foods witch??? what!

  • Nice video, well done! What do you think about the idea of people who use or want a juicer, for them to take the pulp and mix it back into the juice. Of course it is not a smooth as a blender but you are getting more of both worlds perhaps by getting pure juice easy to absorb and digest and a "thicker" juice should you want that also. Just as an idea ;-) Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks Great info.

  • I like the meaasge of Raw, I also enjoy weight training and worry about going catabolic due to lack of protein, also I have a vegan friend that looks kinda anemic, any suggestions?

  • I do both. You can't go wrong either way.

  • Honestly from my point of view as someone who uses both juicer and smoothie makers,I think they're both good both have their pros and cons neither of which are perfect just as that one thing though , However , like if I know i'm not going to eat much that day i'll make smoothie because of the fiber and nutrition, and if It's the opposite i'll use the juicer as it still goes into the skins extracting what we all want, which is the nutrients from the skins where we can't usually eat them.

  • blessed be

  • You are very informed and your videos so full of good information...........are you really a witch ? Just curious I guess. Thanks in advance for a reply.

  • @xrayzulu51 Hahaha. And i have always thought it said "Switch". :)

  • Blender is better!!! I'll take the fiber, thank you!! And it you drink it fast, I dont believe you loose all the enzymes....

  • I use to juice and I hated cleaning the juicer, now I got a blendtec 20 amp juicer and I will NEVER go back to juicing this thing Is very easy to clean and I don't have to chop up anything and clean up Is a breeze, the only modification I did was get a bigger rubber lid with a handle on top i prefer It that way. No I couldn't have it anymore easier as of now with this.

  • Would you still lose weight with the blender?

  • You can definitely still lose weight if drinking blended green smoothies, etc. Of course it depends what else you're eating, if you're exercising / sleeping enough, etc. :) Let me know if you need more help with this!

  • Thanks for responding. I'm a difficult time because my family is totally against me. There's always sugar (cookies, candy, icecream) and salt (chips) in the house. The meat, I can do without now but I'm having a difficult time ignoring the sweets.

  • @NoSaltyPeanuts You tend to lose faster or at least I did with blending. The fiber slows the absorbtion of sugar so it really helps with diabetes and weight loss. My blood sugars soar with juice only whereas with blended it stays low and even. I do have to say juice is easier to drink at times. Good luck!

  • I look at it more pragmatically. If not for this 3.5 hp Waring blender, I wouldn't consume 1/10th of the vegetables I now do on a daily basis. Its fun, easy, superfast and astonishingly easy to clean up afterwards.

  • Thanks, I enjoyed this post. I have even used both a juicer and a blender for the same meal. I like to juice carrots, but also know the value of fiber.

I also loved your ending line about magic. It is clever. I think making food with intention is great magic.

  • I tried both. For now I will put away my juicer and use my blender because blended veggies fill me up much more than juice. In addition, the blender is much faster to clean.

  • I will add that vegetables are better juiced, and fruits are better blended. Personally I prefer just eating foods whole and don't do blending or juicing anymore as neither of these are whole foods. Fruit juice lacks fiber and raises blood sugar too quickly. Blending energetically disrupts subtle qualities in live foods such as electricity, magnetics, and enzymes and are better consumed whole. But, that's just my opinion.

  • You beat me to the punch Starseed! ;) I am writing a long blog post to accompany this video, and mentioned some of these things in it. I am just polishing it up and adding the final touches, so it's cool to know others are already in tune with these things. :)

  • that was also something I was thinking about raw foodists when they say they eat like this because it's closest to the neanderthalers diet and most natural for us human beings, but Nature did not let juicers or blenders grow on the tree, so I guess there's no need for it either. If cooking is bad, why would blending and juicing be ideal? Ok, it's defintely not to be compared with cooking, but I think what you are saying makes sense.
