Speed runs like this scare me, considering that MM took me forever to beat, and here you are, breaking the entire system, destroying every enemy in 2 shots, and finishing off what I thought to be the hardest boss in a matter of 5 seconds.

Your skillz is teh awesome I guess.

But still, I prefer good old fasioned gameplay over speed running. Speed runs are silly, and don't really give a lot of the story away 0:!

If I'm correct, you never actually use the bow in this run, so what's the point of getting it? It must be that you have to, in order for it to be considered as a real TAS.

no, getting bow gives you the quiver and you need the quiver in order to shoot fire and light arrows

I neeed fire arrows to melt goht and light arrows to invert stone tower

and if the bow wouldn't be needed, I'd skip it for sure, because getting the bow or not doesn't make it a real TAS ;)

speed is, what matters, so when something is quicker, it will be done ;)

I need giant's mask or bow against twinmold and getting giant's mask might actually cost more time than getting bow

as I have only kokiri sword, it would also take years to beat twinmold with giant's mask, so you're probably right

Is backwalking from the mini-boss better than sidehopping?

somebody appearantly wrote somewhere, that sidehopping is quicker than backwalking, so everybody believes that, but in MM backwalking is quicker than sidehopping.

especially as zora and deku link the difference between sidehopping and backwalking is huge ;)

backwalking is quicker in any form in MM

in OoT it is quicker to sidehop as young link. as adult link backwalking is actually quicker, but some weird camera physics make backwalking only quicker over really long distances as adult link ;)

At 8 seconds wouldn't it be faster to Deku spin off the ledge? And at the boss room, wouldn't a roll towards the Boss loading area be faster than 2 sidehops (when one of the sidehops gets interrupted?)

1. no, backwalking is the quickest method of travelling without using glitches in majora's mask. if I spin off the ledge, I also have to change my angle again, when I reach the ground

2. I have to wait until I'm able to grab the mask, so I don't have to optimize my movements at this point ;)
