wtf, all these americans really don't know where the word nigger comes from? A sad thing since I don't think you can discuss the word without understanding it's origin.
There are times ,in the course of black parlance, that only the word NIGGER will do. Nobody has to tell you when the time has come. The word becomes alive and insinuates itself into the conversation. And make no mistake-when the word is used---everybody knows precisely what it means.. We( the in-group) just do! Outsiders(people who do not share our cultural experience are not that intuitive --they don't get it (but they can sometimes learn) . So the lesson to be learned is "Get over It"
Funny, Paul Mooney . . . I'm pretty sure he just recently denounced its use. Celebrities really need to consider their position in American society, especially African American celebrities. As much as this is not the truth, the mainstream audience is going to look to them as a portal to their supposed communities. So, African American rapper uses the word, a mainstream audience is likely to believe that most African Americans use the word in the same way. Gosh . . . what's all this "we're" ?
when rappers first started using it nuff white kids at my school started using it saying 'oh you like being called that don't you?' when i started beef over it
