Slowest build ive ever seen. takes me 10 min to throw together a computer. Not sure why this dude has to look at the manual or spend so much time with every component.
I will start by saying I love you guys tech vids, they are the best, but the motherboard on the carpet, not good as far as in the static realm. But I know you guys know alot as I build computers also, but I have never took that chance with a motherboard on top of carpet. But it is all good as long as it works. I have not saw the next vid,so good luck!
Neither would I but at least he isn't moving much and the motherboard itself is on a bit of transparent plastic (probably the packing it came in) as you can see very briefly when he picks it up.
I have never seen anyone spend such a disproportionate amount of time (compared to everything else) just on installing the CPU and cooler or RTFM quite so much. Has he never built a computer before?
I had hoped that there was something specific to servers in here but its just another normal build.
You could try a HP MediaSmart Server but really Windows media servers don't really exist that much in that you can pretty much only share TV from WMC to an Xbox360 (and you can do that on any Vista Home Premium or Ultimate machine that has a DBV-T card in it). Windows may as well just be a NAS as it is just for sharing files not TV.
If you want to have one backend media server that streams live (or recorded) TV over a network to other PCs use MythTV, which is a little harder to set up and use.
Hey guys,, I like your videos and look like you people are very enthusiastic. Why don't you try to install Linuxmce rather than Windows on your machine.
Please do your own research and if you find your way,, I am sure that would be awesome choice..
