  • This looks like it was a fantastic game. I'm sorry I never got to play it.

  • great game, never forgettin the final boss and the ending theme, great gameplay

  • Where's Slippy, Falco , and Peppy?

  • @mikeben81 not funny

  • @mikeben81 just FYI, this game came out before Starfox 64, so it's just the opposite, Starfox 64 stole ideas from Amok, Nintendo just copied the concept and threw in those gay animal characters from that atrocious game called "starfox" released for the SNES and rebranded it "Starfox 64".....

  • I remember playing a demo of this on a PC compilation called Galaxy of Games.

  • Love this game! Simple but addictive with a great atmosphere, soundtrack and graphics. I don't think I've seen that graphics style on any other game.

  • hahaha.....awesome...this game has the best soundtrack of all time

  • That would be Jesper Kyd, the guy who scored the Hitman games, Assassin's Creed, some of Unreal Tournament 3... He's pretty damn big these days.

  • can´t put a link on this, but you people can search for amok abandoned download on google then you´ll find the full game available somewhere

  • Omg this was my very first pc game as well (actually, very first was "Putt-Putt Goes To The Moon" haha), that was about 11 years ago.. And can't find the cd anymore.. I miss it so bad. Finished the whole game, but I think I only used to play it on easy mode hehe.

I remember the music as well.. Sublime.

  • MAN do I miss this game. I'm pretty sure it was the first video game I ever got for my computer, and theres practically no way to run it on new computers. Damn shame....

And did I mention the music?

  • thats why you get a Saturn ;)

That's the best part about consoles, if you buy a Playstation, it'll play a Playstation game. If you buy a Windows 95 game, its a crap shoot whether or not it will play on any given computer.

  • I have this game. I was never able to beat it, though, because I don't have a memory card.
