i really got away from ide's and visual stuff awhile back, am trying to get first shell pass of nvcc to run on dot cu files for linking to lib from compiler which is not going to give nvcc a vcvars.bat ever
I am getting nowhere and stuck ... with a few link points in lib's nvcc builds for me, I will do all the host code myself, if i can discover what switches to use
i completely disagree with u pal...todays gpu r not that costly...but they could become even more cheaper if ppls will start buying gpus like they buy cpu...i mean today only the GAMERS, or 3D developers buys gpus...& the normal or low end users r happy with their ONBOARD GPU
I have two systems with a 9 series GPU. One I got on eBay for $70 and one is in my laptop (ASUS G50VT-X5 9800m gs) and that was under $1000 when I got it and is around $700 now. Both are ASUS mobos which have good support for downgrading and upgrading (they usually come with Vista 64). I was going to upgrade my PC's CPU to dual core or higher but I can use my laptop's GPU in programs to render fast now so I am so glad to have went with the NVidia 9M spec.
Maybe because they need to move the 250 to the 295 off the shelfs first. Plus most of us are sick of buying new video cards every six months. Also what this video is about has nothing to do with video cards them selfs. Its about getting software to use the GPU more instead of the CPU. We need more software development then new hardware. My two GTX 260s in SLI rock. We need better software and less new hardware.
Demos of the card might be out sometime in September. The official release date is unknown but will likely be near the end of 2009, after ATI get their DX11 cards out.

Does somebody know, if it will support also older video cards (compute capability v.1.1)?

NVIDIA IS A WORLDS NO.1 GPU COMPANY....i wonder in future intel and nvidia should merge & develop a cpu & gpu in a single chip..
xxxyboy3000 2 years ago
For what reason you wont CPU and GPU in a single piece of silicon?
Stef3m 2 years ago
if cpu & gpu will be in single chip
1. power usage will be low
2. all the pc will be consider as GAMING PC & i dont know whts more advantage there will...i just told wht i had in my mind :P.....
