Verbatim Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard Review!

i bought mine today and i have to admit that i couldn't wait to get home and pair it up with my devices, first the playbook (BlackBerry) No problem, second my Galaxy epic 4G and for using the stand that came with this product, all i did was mount it side ways and the stand worked great but if you do stand it straight up it will slide. so sideways is the key I LOVE MY BLUETOOTH K.B

I think if I was using my iPad as my computer, then yes I would buy a keyboard of course, but since I have a macbook air already, it's pretty light as well, so I don't think I would get one.

If I need to write anything longer than a decently long text message, yes, it would be a delight. But I wouldn't use it just typing in Wilsontech1 on YouTube or other normal use.

well anyone that has a tablet specifically the ipad knows that while typing on the ipad is ok for short eamils or imessages, anything longer thanthat pretty much requires a actual keyboard the ipad is just not that comfortable to type on and please excuse my spelling

yeah.. I think it defeats the purpose..like the folded design of that keyboard though.. I wouldn't get something to type on unless I had to live on my tablet as a primary device..and who does that right? People use em a lot and some may argue that they live on theirs but for most people, there's usually a pc or mac not too far away for heavy duty stuff. For me, the onscreen keyboard is more than sufficient for most stuff done on the tablet.

Yes, I would use a keyboard other then the on screen (touch sensitive) keyboard. Only for heavy duty typing though.

Seriously people should stop trying to actually do stuff with their tablets and phones, they're respectively meant to do nothing and call people, not write a book in the train, if that's what you need get a portable computer (or a notebook eventually)...

Anyway, at least some people are making money out of this trend I'll probably never understand.

Is this a full sized keyboard? I have my doubts because the keys look smaller than a normal keyboard but just asking. I don't feel like I would use this for my iPhone at least.. I'm seeing since the dictionary/auto correct in iOS5 is better and with the addition of Siri, these keyboards might slowly start to fade but just an outlandish idea.. Perhaps if I traveled on planes more, then that might be helpful to type things out but not really for me. Great video as always!

That is funny, the verbatim and the freedom pro are the exact same keyboard I have the freedom pro it cost me 89 bucks and I can't get It to enable input simulation on the bes server for it to work, They have no clue what to change it worked before the Black berry outage and now its greyed out I wonder if I can load verbatim software and get it to work

the keyboard could be a tad bigger and the raised stand is a must. I've gotten used to typing on the iPad and I can type almost as fast on it as I can on an actual keyboard. I type around 80-85 wpm...the one thing I can't do fast on it is the typical punctuation if I have to use numbers and what not, that is also a big problem for me. Only time I use the keyboard is for facebook. I don't use it for e-mail and I use my iPad for games mostly.

It's kinda weird that the keyboard doesn't have any locking mechanism built in to hold it from folding all the time. It's probably not a problem if you're writing on a desk, but might become one if you're using it on your lap etc.

It depends on what you need. if you type allot on the iPhone, iPad or iPod. then it can be a good deal for you, for example school work just plain typing stuff. or if you need to do a interview its kinda handy instead of a laptop or plain paper. I personally don't find the need for it. but can see it for others.

Phone is understandable. I just hope that Apple would one day release a "Slide" version of their phone. The transition from BlackBerry keyboard to Android Keyboard was a pain for me.

I would use it in uni with my iPhone.

I can't afford an iPad and my Macbook has a smashed screen. It still works, but I'm afraid of damaging it more and can't afford to replace it.

I don't like writing in note pads, so using it with my iPhone to take noted would be perfect.

Also, it'd be much easier to carry around than my Macbook. My Macbook is too big for my backpack.

I would have it as a gift, but probably wouldn't go buy it.

Depends on the type of typing I'm doing. If its for an email I would use the virtual keyboard, though if I'm doing word processing then the physical keyboard would be useful.

I just carry an extra Apple wireless keyboard in my bag. It doesn't fold up, although if you put it in a bag upside down (with the numbers at the bottom) I don't even notice it taking up any room. Plus since I use an Apple wireless keyboard on my desktop PC, it feels very natural when it comes to typing on an iPad or on the rare occasions where I pair it to my iPhone.

The only thing this keyboard has for it is it's size. It looks horrendously cheap and plastic and i don't like the wobbliness but if i only had limited space and I really needed a keyboard I might consider it.

Man would it be sweet or what if verbatim would've designed a keyboard in brushed metal instead like the mac keyboard and give it a sturdy design. that would be a go.. I'd definitely be feeling that.

I think it's kinda pointless to buy it for your iPhone, but for the tablet I can see it as a great buy. When your at home you can put your iPad on a stand and use the keyboard rather than using the onscreen one. And hey, if you already have both, then I guess using it for your iPhone is just a perk that you get.

nah, the whole point of having a portable device, is that it's portable. If I were to use one, it would be at my desk, one at home and one at the office, and in that situation, I'd prefer a full-sized keyboard. For on-the-go, I'd rather just have one device.

There's no doubt that I enjoy using a physical keyboard, due to the speed and accuracy I have with them. However, I have used the Onboard keyboard with iOS for a long time. So I doubt that I'd worry about using soft keys on an iPad. Defeats the purpose of having one device. I wouldn't disregard peoples choice to use there iPad as a netbook.

I think the point of the on board touch keyboard is mobility then the full external keyboard is for traditional typing, while adding to the things you have to worry about and carry. so i don't think there's any redundancy with external keyboards solely based on the difference in mobility option vs having a normal keyboard
