@xxTxRattlerxx the lucic miller incident was unique. Miller led first with his left elbow, then followed up by lunging up and into Lucic. His 50 lbs of padding did not prevent Miller from achieving air time. Priceless.

@daletwin1 my comments about the bruins go back to the last 3yr or so. Actually, some of the first videos i ever favorited were lucic vids from BEFORE he was in the NHL. I was a big lucic fan but lately it's hard to like the guy. Too many hits from behind and sucker punches (the one on freddy meyer was probably the worst). That being said, anyone would want him on their team. My hatred isn't even at the actual bruins per say. It's jack edwards and the hypocrite fans that don't know their shit.

THIS YEAR boston is 2nd in penalty minutes per game, 1st in misconducts, second in game misconducts, and 1st in instigators. They also are usually among leaders in boarding majors and had a suspension hearing 3 times (how mcquaid and especially marchand weren't suspended I'll never know). Lucic was finally suspended after escaping it many any times for boarding (he has a few majors and ejections. Shocker). So yes, THIS YEAR the bruins are one of the dirtiest teams in the league.

@buttkick22 The instigator stat means one thing to me, just like Jack Edwards said on this video. The Bruins have eachother's backs. And they do stick up for eachother more than any team in the NHL. Instigator penalties usually mean a teammate took a dirty shot and you aren't going to stand for it. This year the B's (Champs) are a marked team.

I agree that head shots have gotten way out of control..players today have almost lost respect for the other player, and the league has taken to much control of consequences. I feel that way about all fans who flip flop. Not just bruin fans. But it seems that lately (especially after winning the cup) that the new breed of fans is becoming more and more ignorant. Claiming that the bruins do no wrong and would never bite or dive when in reality they do all of those things. The old school fans know there shit and can have a rational conversation without letting their loyalty get in the way. You won't see me defending pat kaleta's obvious dirty cheap shots.

@daletwin1 my comments about the bruins go back to the last 3yr or so. Actually, some of the first videos i ever favorited were lucic vids from BEFORE he was in the NHL. I was a big lucic fan but lately it's hard to like the guy. Too many hits from behind and sucker punches (the one on freddy meyer was probably the worst). That being said, anyone would want him on their team. My hatred isn't even at the actual bruins per say. It's jack edwards and the hypocrite fans that don't know their shit.

@daletwin1 buffalo and I've always been an L.A. fan. BUt like i said, u won't see me defending pat kaleta's cheap shots anytime soon. Although i still say he fights way more often and against way tougher competition than most shield wearing pests of todays NHL. You wont see guys like lapierre, burrows, marchand etc fighting guys like asham, carcillo, thorburn, schenn, zack smith, dorsett etc. He takes his beatings when he knows he's wrong. THat's the extent of my "sticking up" for that kid tho..

THIS YEAR boston is 2nd in penalty minutes per game, 1st in misconducts, second in game misconducts, and 1st in instigators. They also are usually among leaders in boarding majors and had a suspension hearing 3 times (how mcquaid and especially marchand weren't suspended I'll never know). Lucic was finally suspended after escaping it many any times for boarding (he has a few majors and ejections. Shocker). So yes, THIS YEAR the bruins are one of the dirtiest teams in the league.

@buttkick22 The instigator stat means one thing to me, just like Jack Edwards said on this video. The Bruins have eachother's backs. And they do stick up for eachother more than any team in the NHL. I respect them for that. I bet the Buffalo Sabres fans wish their team had at least one more instigator penalty called against them when Lucic hit Miller. Instigator penalties usually mean a teammate took a dirty shot and you aren't going to stand for it. This year the B's (Champs) are a marked team.

This is the reason fighting should never be banned from the sport. If the league wants to get rid of the head shots/concussions and illegal hits...they should get rid of the instigator penalty and allowed the players to police themselves like they have from the beginning of this sport! @daletwin1 Of course i am biased, I'm a Coyote fan, born and raised in Phoenix. I agree that head shots have gotten way out of control..players today have almost lost respect for the other player, and the league has taken to much control of consequences. Playing 20 yrs ago if i took a cheap shot on someone, then i knew I was going to have to answer to that by dropping the gloves, so i had more consideration on how i played, and was ready to pay the price when i got out of line.

@macrohoo1 MMA is a sport, boxing is a sport, and wrestling is a sport as well. so just cause there is a little fight, there's no reason to make a big deal out of it. The bruins have each others backs like a mafia family. When someone puts a hit on any of them, you can expect that person to get whacked. Also, you have poor grammar.

@macrohoo1 This is nothing like Bull fights or Pit fights; they are acts of cruelty to animals for Human amusement. This IS a sport and it's not that fighting is allowed, they each get 5 minutes in the box for fighting (or in Mcquaids case, 5-4 fighting :P) and the Refs don't want to get hurt in the fight so they wait until they tire and quit. Plus, mixed marital arts and Boxing are full contact sports which IS fighting as a sport and not "stupidity".

@prodigy2k7 fighting in hockey has purpose, majority of the time, like this instance, fighting helps curb bad hits and penalties. Yes they do fight to gain momentum for their team, which inspires their teammates. so what adam mcquaid did, defending his defensive partner was not only a good choice of action, it was the commendable one.
