Mercy sakes...what a velvety, silky, soulful instrument is Ella. Some of this clip was incorporated in her AMERICAN MASTERS biography, but I'm glad to see more of the lead-in and aftermath of SOMETHING TO LIVE FOR. That last, long note at 3:54 to 4:01 is glorious. And 'Danse si Samba' (sp?) is just wicked!! Thank you for this.

This particular performance of 'jazz samba' was one of the first songs of Ella which I heard, and was attracted to. I subsequently bought the album (Ella and Duke at the Cote d'Azur), and am I glad to watch this video :)
