@88Sublime96 yes! any technique can be used for whatever style you wish to play. 3 fingers will add my fluency to those fast-paced walking basslines! :)
You can pretty use it for a lot of classic rock songs (The Who - although Entwhistle used 4 fingers!) Billy Sheehan songs are another good example.
As far as PM with the thumb, the only bass player I've seen/like (there are more) is Sting - unfortunately he doesn't use the 3 finger technique as far as I know...
Heya Tony! Can you name a few songs that are particularly handy for practicing this technique? Something that also involves moving from string to string and muting (with thumb)
This technique is good in general to know right? Like I'm interested in reggae songs and ska and what not, so will this technique still prove handy?
