What an amazing pick. Fucking dumbass Islanders have useless Bailey lol. Meanwhile Schenn is an absolute STUD, already the Leafs' second best defenseman behind Phaneuf. This guy is gonna be a 25+ minute man and captain of the Leafs in a couple of years. He led the league in hits (he's a rock!) and I believe he was very high in blocked shots too. He fights, he hits HARD, he stands up for his teammates, he even has a slight bit of offensive flair.

Woot luke Schenn! His sophomore year started badly but he's picked up his play lately. Phaneuf, Schenn, and Komisarek are going to be a menacing force in the eastern conference for the next couple of years, IMO. I hope Schenn can continue to develop well. Luke Schenn is a good acquisition for toronto. Of course any of the 3 taken before him are much much better.Just as good shutdown but much more speed and offense.But toronto wouldnt have been able to get up there in that draft. Torontos d is interesting.Schenn Kaberle and Frogren are good and paid accurate $. Kubina Coliacavo and Finger are highly overrated and MASSIVELY overpaid. Expect one to be shipped out. Or maybe 2, cuz they need about 5 star forwards and they wont get tavares next year.

I think Kaberle is on his way out. Not sure about Antropov, but he might be packaged off to a contending team that needs more depth in a long playoff run. He is an UFA and if Burke thinks he's not in the plans, he might be gone so we can get something for him.

Tavares and Hedman are probably going #1 or #2 in the draft. The Leafs are currently sitting 6th. That puts us in a position to draft Kane, Duchene, Schroeder, and Luke's brother, Brayden Schenn. Still a lot of talent in the top!
