  • Yep...this is definitely turning me on!

  • First 3 albums of AUTECHRE (Incunabula (1993); Amber (1994); Tri Repetae (1995) ) The best of the Best!!!

  • My favourite Autechre track (so far). Never get tired of hearing it.

  • Anyone that makes music I like is talented in my opinion. Fuck what other people care, I'm here to enjoy it - if skill was or wasn't involved.

  • endless love...

  • Oh yes.

  • AUTECHRE RULES..

  • also IDM is a fucking stupid term. Whoever uses it, is a pretentious asshole.

  • WARP RECORDS FOR LIFE BBBRRRAAAHHH!!!!!!!!

  • Initially, Autechre seemingly sounded random; however, once you have adapted and embraced idm or have an extensively diverse taste in music, it all sounds strangely organic and coherent to the ears and mind.

  • Play this and Mookid by Aphex Twin at the same time.

It's weird how well they fit together. Aside from the fact that this is about twice as long as Mookid, naturally.

  • @JackTron7000 Thats some epic music consuming :) Do you play 2 songs at once all the time?

  • @yol1982 Yeah quite often.

  • idm forever

  • Anyone can recommend me something similar to Autechre?

  • @cocozaococozao123 Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, The Black Dog, Brian Eno. Check that shit out.

  • @FrAnKWGS Thankx

  • I'm still in awe of the whole 90s autechre stuff. I mean that track is 15 years old but even today it sounds like music from tomorrow. Still blows my mind. Timeless...

  • @wentolin i think its because the genre hasnt really changed all that much, i mean itsstill pretty good music, but aphex twin's idm as well and hes started in the 90s, if you listen to his early stuff you wouldnt know how to tell the difference betwen itand his new stuff

  • If Carlsberg done music, it probably wouldn't sound like this. I hate Carlsberg.

  • its so nice to see this kind of music respected and with intelligent commenting, something becoming too rare in this ocean of bass related toilet humour drenching so many dubstep (and other surrounding genres) tracks' comments.

  • @Fred66613 Intelligent people listen to intelligent music.

  • @Fred66613 those kids killed lfo and filter modulations.

  • @Fred66613 My god, intelligence on Youtube? You don't belong here. Please get out.

  • I like this

  • I remember hearing this on Accu Radio a few years ago, I had to know who it was. This is probably the most beat oriented track autechre made. Try blaring the .wav version on your stereo, simply awesome.

  • Who cares if the music is hard to make or not. If anybody can make this then there should be a flood of great, strange, experimental, electronic music out there. Which there isn't. What I see on the other hand are millions of whining little men and women with a guitar on their lap singing of their one true lost love or some emotional cliche like that. Or guys jerking their guitars as fast as they can.

  • There is a woman I've been in love with for 8 years, this is her favorite track... which exactly explains why she's the love of my life.

  • @explosivehotdogs Fucking awesome :)

Never even met anyone irl who likes autechre.

  • god, i love idm. better than techno. i used to think that techno is the most complex and intelligent, because of its complex beats

  • I love IDM, but Autechre is too random...

  • @Sphereal In one sense everything is random, in another everything is based on a pattern. Your brain does not see the patterns here because they are not very obvious (although this track has a pretty basic beat and very rigid and obvious melodic lines running, so I don't really understand why you perceive it to be random).

  • @astroboomboy Dude, I love IDM and I know lots of it sounds like it´s random, although it´s random on an intelligent level, as Autechre or Aphex Twin. I fail to see patterns on this one, but I do see patterns on other tunes by them.

  • Music of GOD

  • @dekacster dude two years... ...sorry mate your ego is getting in the way of reality there ive been playing guitar for six years i cant play anything as technical as this, electronic music take more skill to produce coz aswell as looking at the music in bits (like you would on a guitar) you have to tweek and tone and eq everything to fit together perfectly, trust i also produce and its much harder than picking up an instument for a couple of years

  • Damn, This one IS GOOD :D

But "Dropp" didn't move me at all.

  • One of my fave Autechre tracks of all time. I didn't listen to the rest of the album until I'd played this about 10 times. Great tune, nice vid to go with it.

  • MORE USEFUL COMMENTS, FUCK!

  • One of the most amazing bass lines of all time

  • Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm the static shift is easing my tensions.

  • @Everyone you Stop fighting over shit nobody cares just enjoy the video

  • Anfang und Ende! Autechre te explica lo demás

  • übershit

    !!!!

  • This is the first time I've heard Autechre and I already know this is the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship.

  • @Advancedgod Same here, I just bought a couple of their albums this week after a mate from work introduced me to them. Good stuff! :-)

  • @Advancedgod nigger

  • Mmm layers...

  • This song is not from the EP7 CD... its the 4th or 5th song on the second CD of the two CD set"Tri Repetae", love this track and the 15+ others!!!

  • @ProToolPat

ah, sorry. you're right man. it's not on EP7.

  • Excellent!

  • I always think of an old Megadrive/Genesis game Flashback when I hear this.

  • What album / EP is this great song from?

  • @proteusduxbury it's from "EP7". take a look at discogs. there you may find an cheap release.

  • in a future, far away, when humanity does not longer exists, a very intelligent lifeform will find earth trough the data from the nasa golden record. they will find a small golden cd, and after decoding the data from this disc, they must realized very quickly that they have actually found themselves.

  • need more combies with Aphex Twins.........

    -but great stuff-

  • This is a great video for an amazing tune; thanks for uploading!

  • Everyone can learn how to play a guitar? Anyone can play the guitar? Shut up...

I agree that there's a lot of work on this style but so is the guitar or any other kind of instrument.

That's just a different way of making art... Why are you comparing btw? Ridiculous...

  • @DDrknss If you read some more comments you'd have caught the point for my comparison. Somebody said, anybody could do stuff like Autechre. And Liam Gallagher was the God. I do not agree. I know that every instument gets its own style in the hands of unique artists. And, yes, ANYONE can learn how to play guitar. But if they are able to create unique music is a different question..

  • Comment removed

  • @crocshoesniffer You're comparing different genres, man. Oasis is a hell of a band. If electronic music doesn't get you off, stick to the handmade stuff. But do not flame about something you are not able to feel. Autechre in their style have so much depth and uniqueness that makes me mentally jizz. Rock'n'Roll is different in its intention. You can't compare that to experimental eletronic music with so many ambient elements.

  • Autechre has gone deep into the reaches of ambient space. I miss the days when they had one foot on the Earth.

  • best autechre track from their best album.

  • @Bayonetta4 Lmao xD

  • I'm not sure if I have the words to describe the cool that I'm seeing here.

  • @LogicAndArt The word has not been invented yet, but somebody somewhere is working on it.

  • @Bayonetta4 Haha

  • 1:43... ladies and gentlemen we are floating in space

  • Comment removed

  • R.I.P. Autechre of the 90's...

    *tear*

  • Life-changing music.

Follow up with Sixtyniner by BOC.

  • @crocshoesniffer you sound like a damn idiot. autechre shits out liam gallawhogives a fuck.

  • @TheFeelin89 I'm fucking around autechre are ace. The amber album is mega. No one can touch ae interms of sound.

  • The band Beady Eye are well better than this shite. Anyone could make this but no one has the talent of LIAM GALLAGHER who is the best musican in the world bar none.. Autec who? What?

  • @crocshoesniffer

Rite on, m8. This Autechrap is a load of fokin' bollox. What the foc is this fokin ticktick bum snap wooooooooommmmmmmmm clickclick foken crap?! Beady Eye is reall fekkin music right there m8!

  • @crocshoesniffer lol!! liam galagher..... best musician... that made me chuckle. seriously now, fuck off and die.

  • @crocshoesniffer talent for throwing up all over himself? talent for headbutting paparazzi? yes, i'll own it - he's one talented cunt!

  • The band Beady Eye are well better than this shite. Anyone could make this but no one has the talent of LIAM GALLAGHER who is the best musican in the world bar none.. Autec who? What?

  • @crocshoesniffer you are young, young grasshopper, but you will learn.

  • @crocshoesniffer Really? Anyone? I bet my balls that Liam Gallagher even isn't able to make such music. Anyone can learn how to play guitar. Anyone can play the guitar. For electronic music you have to learn how to use a lot of synthesizers to produce sounds that sound organic. Build up dissonances which merge to a perfect harmony. These sounds are not random. You have to understand a lot about how beat schemes work and where they overlap. If you can put a special mood in your piece, it's art!

  • @samael909 absolut wahr :)

  • Comment removed

  • @Southie99 there are valid arguments for both sides. somebody said already, comparing apples to oranges isn't the way. i agree it's necessary to have skill when you know how to play the guitar to be a "successful" artist. but just because somebody discovered the feeling of rock'n'roll doesn't mean other styles have to do less with art. rock'n'roll might have the same rhythm as some electronic masterpieces and vice versa for example.

  • @samael909 so you think everybody can play guitar like satriani or homme? come on man... i like these electronic stuffs, but playin guitar well and makin awesome songs are pretty much the same like these stuffs... trust me, ive been playin guitar for about 2 years...

  • @samael909 fag

  • @samael909 agreed

  • @samael909 plus these guys can code like i've never seen before. Autechre truly is art and thanks for pointing out that synths are a science too. Hats off

  • @samael909 never a truer word spoken my friend

  • @samael909

In two points u fail massively...

    first, it is a difference between learning to play guitar and play guitar very nice, and it is also a difference between learning to sample and arrange an electronic music track and produce a brilliant track like clipper as well;

and second, a guitar man is at first of all a musician, Rob Brown and Sean Booth are first and foremost composer..., u compare apples and oranges...

  • @samael909 -- puny mortals

  • @samael909 Autechre is nothing short of audio perfection in every sense.

  • @samael909 I once had a conversation with a guy about electronic music, and he said the DUMBEST things. He said electronic music was filled with "fake sounds" and said that "all one has to do is press a button and the machine goes 'beep.'" *scoffs* What an idiot. Two other guys jumped in and practically said the same things. They don't know how hard it is to create music THIS good. They just don't understand how difficult the genre can be.

  • @CronicRecordStore And this song is a perfect argument to go completely against what they said.

  • @CronicRecordStore yeah sadly this just all comes down to a lack of exposure and understanding to/of electronic music. Can't blame some people if all they've ever seen are DJ's pretending they're playing 'instruments' by pressing 1 button, bad electronic music on the radio and the whole cliche of drugged up ravers lol I used to have a similiar view when I was a youngin. fast forward to today and I make it myself. Can certainly say that it's ridiculously hard to make music like this and boc etc

  • @Jez4prez Hmm... I've always hated the horibble mainstream music that you hear in clubs. I swear, every f**king beat sounds the same in every damn song. The same kind of *thump, thump, thump.* Drives me crazy! This music actually has soul to it, and sounds like it's had MUCH more effort put into it then the mainstream music. Opinions be opinions; feel bad for the mainstream genre lovers.

  • @CronicRecordStore haha you should also ask the guy how they're fake sounds!!! How do you even define fake sounds? In the end all sounds we hear are just vibrations!

  • And who says. "Electronic music can't be though provoking!" ?

  • simply amazing track.......

  • One of masterpieces of the Techno music...

  • One of masterpiece of the Techno music...

  • Autechre ah brilliant!!

  • its GREAT!!!

  • This song takes me back, one of my favorites by Autechre

  • I don't mean to be an ass but it's CONSTELLATION not constalation :P

    Awesome nevertheless!

  • @ediblejesusbeard

    ass. lol.

i cant help it but read 'your' when it should be 'you're' and roll my eyes.

  • Amazing!

  • Great stuff. Where was this piece when electronic music did not yet exist?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome tune! Video goes perfectly.

  • I'd love to hear what they'd do with a film score.

  • @Intelectual95 Your barely literate sentence structure, grammar and spelling proves itself. Congratulations on going full retard!

  • @Intelectual95

u suck anyway no matter what u do

  • @Intelectual95 A computer can only do what the operator tells it too. Try making some music like this yourself (that is actually any good) and see how easy it is.

  • @Intelectual95 i lold heartily

  • @Intelectual95 obvious troll is obvious

  • @Intelectual95 stop spamming vids you cunt!

  • @Intelectual95 if you really had an IQ of 170, you'd understand the not-so-subtle difference between 'there' and 'their'. Nice fail. Then again, I'm sure you, much like your unfortunate sex partner, are used to disappointment.

  • @digitalr0gue HAhahah!

  • @Intelectual95

    Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @Intelectual95 bahahahahahahahaha and if you were an intellectual with an IQ of 170 you would have developed tastes sophisticated enough to know that avenged sevenfold is a HORRIBLE band and that electronic music requires a lot of time and dedication that the computer doesn't "do for you". You are a FUCKWAD --either that or a troll.

  • @TheFeelin89 thank you!

  • @Intelectual95 14 yere oald trolll

  • Hello, if you want to delve into Autechre's discography, take a look at my discog review ! Cheerio!

  • @ocarinalover1348 no i think you just dont get it. Because this is one of the most beautiful, mesmerizing, isolating, cold, energetic tracks these two eccentric's ever created.

  • im sorry i have nothing against you or you son but stop counting his age in months, my personal opinion in which none of you have expressed intrest in is that you should stop counting the age of ALL young'uns at 18 months or a year and a half

  • @Fragmentational talk about fucking trivial.

  • @Ccffect I am his mother ;) :)

  • an old FAV.. used to love doing 180KM/HR on the 404 from newmarket in 90s with this on..

  • I want some fuckin beans

  • wtf this is gay

  • @RugalReturns Judging by your recent activity; you're trolling.

  • @Atraiterm fail fag

  • @RugalReturns Fail fag is the best you can come up with?

  • @Atraiterm Don't feed the trolls!

  • @irockdudeoo7 ur dad is justin bieber

  • I totally forgot about this song, what a treat!!! :)

  • yeah yeah i saw this and heard this song played live thank you booth and brown..

    most respect !!!

come back to middle slime usa!!!

  • music of 4th dimension

  • @PaMuPe3 Time?

  • @PaMuPe3 Our timeline, past and future, is the fourth dimension. It's enough to say future.

  • tears/of/joy

  • When they put this together they must have been crying tears of joy

  • 14 dislikes... could be more... but only 515 likes, WHYYY?

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, it rocks! I like it and want much more of that good shit.

  • My son ( 21 month old ) loves this song ;) He always goes wild. :)

  • @diversitaet that is very awsome

  • @diversitaet Cool...someone from a younger generation who actually has good taste in killer music. Turn him on to some Skinny Puppy and Mr. Bungle when he gets a little older.

  • @diversitaet your son is the personification of awesomeness

  • @TheDogod I think the same way... of course ;)) He's great - so relaxed and intent also..but: enough ;))

  • @diversitaet

He'll be on the drugs soon enough then.

    And it'll be your fault.

  • @kjsdyggf Why is that then?

  • @kjsdyggf Indeed? Realy, that is soo dumb, kjsdyggf. And now: I am done with you ;)

  • @diversitaet so he got potential, make him realise!

  • @lturkyilmaz the music is the best way to realize, even more so with such a young mind, not yet limited by the influences of the collective psyche

  • @diversitaet he's got rad taste already! tried him on some aphex twin yet?

  • @SendInTheChickens

No way :o) I hate aphex twin ;)

  • @diversitaet he´ll be grand, so! :D

  • @diversitaet your son is COOL :D

  • shame u neva saw em at Megadog or Herbal Tea Party in manchesta UK :-D

  • GREAT !

  • awesome song. anybody know what the black and white animation in the beginning is?

  • @sonicdiffusion It's in the description. They're various constelations on some sort of star map.

  • For a lot of Tri Repetae, Autechre would load text files or pictures into their digital audio programs and use them as samples. This song has the most, I'd say. All those static-sounding white-noise bursts going on. Making music out of glitches. Genius.

  • classic, still love this so much

  • These graphs were built with the "walrus" tool, it's free and open source; if you're interested give it a google.

    You're welcome. :)

  • imo this is what autechre should sound like. tri repetae has to be my favorite electronic album. it makes me appreciate life on so many levels.

take this track for instance, it feels so cold and alien, but on the other hand intimate, like there is something more out there, you've never come to appreciate.

  • I wish Aphex Twin and Autechre would remix each other's songs...

  • eh ats not the ss,kme shit dickck fucker bag fuscvs uff

  • yes this is electronic how it should be done my channel is full of electronic like this here i should get my channel on television my own electronica channel hehe i would never play lady gaga or madonna i would play day and night autechre, ochre, afx, oval, ovuca and 400 million other electronica artists not matter if they are famous or even without a label i would play them all because i love this from my heart. :-)

  • Definately on the playlist for the next Keta-session
