My 2011 Kia Sorento was assembled in West Point Georgia by American Workers. I had a 2009 Saturn Vue XR prior to this vehicle that was in the service dept more than it was on the road. The Vue was made in Mexico and the build quality of the Kia is leaps and bounds beyond what I experienced with my Saturn Vue. The Sorento has a higher percentage of materials from the United States as well. After my Saturn Vue XR was lemon lawed, I bought a 2009 Hyundai Accent that never was in the shop once!

Hyundai/ KIA are capitalists. Through having taken their lumps for their shitty cars in the past, they improve in quality markedly every year, price their products competitively, and market them aggressively and creatively. We'll see if GM, Ford and Chrysler have learned their lesson yet.

A huge leap for the Koreans....just only 3-4 years ago, Hyundai/Kia were shit...now, it is as good as the Japanese....if not in terms of performance, Styling and VALUE FOR MONEY is on par and better than the Japanese respectively.
