Thanks. At that moment I was tempted to get a lgxt, a great guitar too, but xtsa h/s/h pckups configuration + tremolo and tons of sustain fulfill what I was seeking, a guitar covering a broad spectrum of sounds. Through a careful mod I did add split coil puss-pull pot for a broaden tone palette. A little heavy but not unbearable remind a Les Paul in tone with the chance of get also nice Strato like spices with the split coil mod.

Gracias Marcelo!. el Roland GI-20 es una interface MIDI especializada para guitarras provistas de una pastilla GK o como la Godin que tienen el sistema hexafónico y la circuitería en el cuerpo del instrumento, el GI-20 necesita un dispositivo MIDI externo para los sonidos tal como un teclado, módulo, sampler etc. A diferencia del GR20 o GR33 los cuales tienen sonidos internos ideal para tocar en vivo, pero me gusta el GI-20 en estudio por sus posibilidades ampliadas de control. You go out of the box, but not so far that it will make a normal listener or someone with a diatonic ear, think you made a mistake. I like this quality about you. You play for the song first and foremost and always add a great melody with enough technique to keep things interesting! Awesome bro!

thank for comments!. Sometimes I start by setting a groove or rhythym as basis ground for melodical inspiration which I play, sing or scat, I just get my guitar or keyboard and try a chord for a new melody or riff, if all go lucky with muse and stars sometimes a new song born. In Mina Sambinha I wrote the progression over the melody. Maybe it is not a never heard before chords, a nice progression can become lifeless with an unispiring melody or tasteless scale.

I try in the possible to correlate melodies,harmony and groove, this way all that energy inside you wld get blended up...at end you could get a new good song!. BTW, Band in a Box is a excelent source of chord progressions examples and some melodies in the song demo section.Saludos

Thanks for your comments! the guitar sound is from the instrument own audio out recorded in the stereo track available in Band in a Box for that purposes, not midi. The midi part was recorded with the same guitar controlling, via a Roland GI20 to a accordion sample in a keyboard, also it could be a virtual instrument hosted by BiaB directx/VSTi feature. La melodia atrapa desde el principio pero por encima de todo la sensibilidad de Arellano, una forma de expresar melodicamente que solo los grandes poseen, el solo de midi con acordion es buenisimo, precision y articulacion.
