So, when we comes to the final chapter of the game, there, we realize that the first letter of each chapters means something and that the sentence is "Nicole is Dead", which seems to coincide with the final chapter sequence where Kendra tells Isaac that Nicole is dead before he arrives at the Ishimura.

Just to clear things up!-

Nicole was never alive during the game. She dies before Isaac even gets aboard the Ishimura. She injects herself with syringe filled with material that causes the infection. The only reason you even get to see Nicole in the game is through Isaacs hallucinations brought on by severe trauma or the large amounts of morphine his suit administers.

The Marker is actually a tool against the Hive Mind so the Necromorphs DON'T spread, I guess it was away for so long that it didn't matter though(since you obviously have to KILL the Hive Mind at the end of the game).

That would give a good reason about why you halucinate throughout the rest of Issac's time in the game. It would also explain why the necros only appeared when the marker was extracted off the planet. Meaning the marker is a seal or a key to unlock a cage where the necros wait.

The reason that isaac was halucinatiing was beauce it was the only way the marker could make him bring it back to its planet. The marker made isaac think nicole was alive because it knew that he would listen to her. as for necromorphs they dont want the maker returned. Thats why they attack u like crazy when ur taking it back there. its what kept the hive mind at bay and keeping the infection from spreading, hope it helped u awnser ur question.

Like the very end? the necromorph looked like Nicole. but I think that was a real necromorph which is what makes it very creepy. All i know is that dead space 2 takes place a long time after Dead Space 1. The marker has really messed up Isaac. So he must have survived the attack in the end. or perhaps something else might have happened. who knows

@kairaa1 I think I might help you that it was a halllucination. Look at nicoles back, full health. If it were to be real, her life bar would be Zero, since she is no longer alive. Also to support this idea, Issac has been near the stone for a large amount of time. The stone tends to confuse people and make them go craziez.

yeah there were alot of mistakes in the film compared to the game. like in the ending of it when u see them going to ishimura the energy teathers are still attached yet in the game there were never any. The reason is that the entire team that worked on dead space didnt work on the film. i believe only a few worked on it.
