I started to watch this add and it actually brought tears to my eyes and it me cry.
I guess I never realised how my Mum might have felt when she comes to see her son in the United States.
I guess as children we never realise what dreams and aspirations are parents have had, and what it means when we achieve those goals. When we become adults we forget how much of our own dreams and aspiration are part of our parents, how they wish that there son & daughter achieve a better life.
love this ad but given current context , the dad looked positively like a drug dealer when he clutched his bag to his chest and almost refuse to submit for a x-ray.
made me miss my dad, who stayed up late to hear me practice my lines for a play when i was a schoolgirl... wish he could see me doing the work i so love now. kinda like flying :)
very well said.. for those of us who are blessed to have our parents, it makes us realise how much we should treasure their presence and those who have lost them can pray for their dear parents.
forget for a while the problem of airline probably had ...the ideas actually true..i use to work with airline with the tag everyone can fly . there story of this is real because there certain people inform us that some people will frame the air ticket as memory of their first time . even i experince it where psnger ask me the boarding card potion to be kept. its really touching n show the fatherhood also . the son must be a pilot i thnk
The ad was awsome..........but in reality air deccan is real crap...they dont even have seat numbers for passengers.....u will hv to stand in a qeue, as if u r travelling in a bus..and will hv to rush to catch seats...........and of course i had 6 hrs delay in bangalore for a 1 hr journey to cochin...........real crappppppp
Unfortunately, A crap khadoos budhau (trying unsuccessfully to emulate richard branson and hugh hefner) from Bangalore or Should I say Mangalore is leaving no stone unturned to shatter this dream. But, good things in this world never last too long :-( Tactless & shameless predators like these always manage to gobble up such things and then destroy basic nature of these.

I love this. I miss my dad now. He's so far away from home, but no matter where he used to go on flights, he'd always bring back candy.

It's one of the most touching ads I've ever seen!
Deccan Airways was an awesome brand...
great logo. great tagline. and delivered on its promises.
Also, this ad reminds me of the lengths to which our parents would go to see us happy.
And lastly, it highlights the simplicity, peacefulness and beauty that is India.
