  • 2555? what did he experience?

  • the UNSC was REAL man i never knew master chief must be proud of the UNSC

  • the money they could make off of charging people to see this exhibit could pay for the movie easily they need this "museum" to be a real thing they would need to clean the glass over display cases quite frequently though lol

  • I loved all of bungie's ads, they were so well done. They put so much effort into each and every one of them, and as a result created an unforgettable experience! well done I say!

  • Pretty sure i kill those guys in the campaign

  • High quality my ass.

  • @funnymanjohns This video is over four years old. It was high quality back in the day.

  • Only issue is its hard to believe a man with 25 years of service would only reach the rank of major

  • @cardkoda No what's hard to believe is that these United Nations Space Command veterans would still be using such archaic United States measures such as yards and feet 500 years into the future when even now Earth-only US forces already range targets in meters thanks to NATO Standardization Agreements (STANAG). I would think that sometime between the invention of the Slipspace Drive and that war, the US would've already officially kicked the Customary Measures habit.

  • @RingSight91 well whats to say some even between the Human-Covenant War and now some event led to the unification of the metric and imperial system?. Also these ads from what i know were directed to more American audiences, and to keep things from being to strange they kept modern day American measuring system.

  • @chuckthegrunt117 Two mutually exclusive systems of measure cannot, by definition, "unify". There is no Internal Logic to Imperial Units, that's why SI was developed in the first place. And it's ironic you would use "modern day" with "American measuring system", because that system is anything but "modern". And is a meter and a yard so radically different that 2000 of either would be "strange" to you? How many schools have Track and Field, which don't use yards to begin with?

  • @RingSight91 Hey. So do you know when these things are suppose to take place? how many years after the war, or is the war still on? :/ confusing timeline

  • @tehBLAX What's confusing about the timeline? This is an ad for Halo 3, the events of which are supposed to be 500 years in our future. These old guys were supposed to be veterans of the Human-Covenant War, meaning they were young during the war. Of course the war is over, that's why the Museum exists. Do they build museums to commemorate as-yet-unfinished wars where you're from? O_o

  • @RingSight91 Well if the war is fucking over, why is there still games being made? BTW ive only played reach cos consoles are shit, and tbh the game is nothing special

  • @tehBLAX What do you mean "games being made"? Stop prattling about your opinion about consoles, nobody gives a shit. After Halo 3 there came Halo Reach - which was a PREQUEL to the entire game series and the war to begin with. That's ONE game, not "games". Go take your paranoid exaggerations elsewhere. You're not even on the same page as everyone else watching FFS. The ad is using a method called Retrospective Narrative. Don't they teach that in high school anymore?

  • @RingSight91 No, i didnt take that faggy media class. And go suck master chefs dick or what ever the fuck his name is

  • @tehBLAX Since when do they teach "faggy media classes" in high school? How would you know if how "faggy" they were if you didn't take any? This sort of storytelling isn't even in any "media" classes FFS. It's basic English Lit which everyone is supposed to take. And I don't need to be a Halo player to appreciate a well-made ad.

BTW, you know you've lost when you trade Insult for Argument. You didn't even know WTF you were talking about before you jumped in here. GTFO and get your shit str8.

  • @RingSight91 @RingSight91 Do you understand.... I saw this trailer, obviously the war is over in this clip, so i immediately assumed that the games showed that the war ended, and that is why this was made... Do you fucking get me now.. why would they make this if the game wasnt made, its confusing for non halo nerds such as my self

  • @tehBLAX FFS you've got about 11 years of video gaming history to catch-up on then. Forget everything you thought you learned in Halo:Reach. Go run to the store to pick-up Halo 1 Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition to "Start" the Fight all over again.

Either that or pick-up an old X-Box to play the original 1 AND 2. Then MAYBE you'll understand the meaning behind the marketing behind this Halo 3 video for the 360.

  • @RingSight91 I did play halo 1.. like 7 years ago

  • @tehBLAX 7 years ago was between Halo 2's and Halo 3's release. Halo 2 multiplayer on Xbox Live was in full tilt and the thing to do before CoD and MW became the kid-infested networks they are today. Still behind the curve there some. If you finished 1 you can at least jump into 2. When that's done you'll be able to appreciate the context of all these "Believe" and "Finish the Fight" ads.

  • @RingSight91 Yeah, im not saying anything bad about the ads, Of course ill feel different towards them after ive played the game, anyone can..

  • @tehBLAX go to /fkCgDIhUJmQ here and happy gaming.

  • @RingSight91 Yeah ive seen them all :P, Another great series is mass effect, Story/character depth, amazing game

  • @tehBLAX I'm afraid "seeing them all" and "playing them all" are hardly the same thing. But if you're watching this 2007 ad in 2012, then you should at least have seen some recordings of the ending of the 2004 game. Which brings us back to the original, "How are these 'future flashback' type of adverts be confusing for the casual spectator," question. By now shouldn't the notion that "MC 117 helped win the war" be common knowledge?

  • @RingSight91 Wouldnt 117 be alive if this takes place 50 years after? since hes enhanced from all that bioengineering and shit?, or does he die in the final game?

  • @tehBLAX Depends on what you mean by "the final game". If you'd take the time to look-up the vids for Halo 3's ending on Legendary, you'd have seen he was still alive and into hypersleep though stranded in deep space. Then recently the ad for Halo 4 came-out, where he gets woken to "deal with something". But honestly, you just gotta finish Halo 2, even on Easy, to get the idea behind these Halo 3 pre-release ads. Its slogan was "Finish the Fight".

  • @RingSight91 So 3 takes place right after 2 and 4 takes place right after 3? Rougly do you know how many years passed in the game? in each of them?

  • @tehBLAX The game does not take place over "years". Please don't use the Release Dates as a reference, these aren't movies. All the action happens one after the other. You just gotta give the Dev Team time to develop what the next part will be. Really nobody even expected 4 to get made, but, surprise, surprise.

This Future Flashback style ad was just something to get the fans excited since nobody had done any serious Live Action Commercials for a Video Game before.

  • @RingSight91 And what do you mean on legendary.. is there different ending on the different difficulties you play on?

  • @tehBLAX Endings on Legendary always have an extra cut-scene after the credits showing a little something extra about the story. Bit of a reward for dealing with all that PITA to play on that setting I guess. I haven't even finished any of them on Legendary. Without YouTube I wouldn't have known what I was missing.

  • @RingSight91 ahhhh ok, Im on halo wiki now, theres so much information about the game.. lol

  • @RingSight91 Btw during this scene/time era is master chief dead? And in any of the games does the war end, or not yet?

  • @tehBLAX If you knew that being a Master Chief Petty Officer was the highest enlisted rank in Naval Forces, you'd already know MCPO John 117 was already older than these guys back in the war. Here's a full-up museum, a couple of old veterans, do you think he's still alive after being commemorated like this? The Human-Covenant War ended in Halo 3, or did you miss that in your "wiki" reading? Really, what's with all the stupid questions? Screw it, I'm out.

  • @RingSight91 Yeah i do know that mcpo, is the highest enlisted rank... But isnt he suppose to be some big shot super soldier? You would think with all the enhancements that his life expectancy would be higher, and not that of a normal human

  • @RingSight91 nway thx for the info you little nerd

  • @tehBLAX Who do you think you're calling "little"? If this was a different life I'd have a kid in High School by now so watch your tone you little twit.

  • @RingSight91 soz boSS

  • They should have done another video with Sgt. Navarro (the shotgun guy). I'm sure he would have had something to say as well...

  • such good actinb omg that was almost distrubing

  • Black guy was embarrased like wtf fu? Even in the future the black man can't catch a break

  • shotgun+black guy= SEARGENT JOHNSON!!!!

  • @madarauchiha1218 no sniper rifle + black guy= sgt johnson

  • Bungie's ad people are fucking geniuses.

  • "can you show us how it works?" ... *shoots black guy*

  • The black guy looks like a brute! LOL

  • 0:45 lol it stills working after decades

  • @SergeSniper the craziest part is that they put an active weapon out in the open after that.lol

  • thumbs up for the warthog in the background

  • tomas navarro used the shotgun in 2555-2567......some type of event took place at that time O_O The War of Vengeance!

  • These guys are great actors

  • @ProudPatriot1776 I think they used actual war vets. That's a nice pool of experience to draw from: the emotions would be quite similar.

  • ITS.......ITS.....i dont like it.

  • shotgun! I mean who the hell would have doubt that this guy is using the shotgun ;)

  • i dont really see how this could fit a time line with master chief 30 or forty years after the event of halo 3 in another game or movie, but if bungie or whoever figures this out i will be most impressed.//

Matthew M// Chief Petty Officer// Spartan 116// BELIEVE

  • @gamestopcamper he is in cryo sleep after all

  • that thing (spiker) saved me in reach on legendary

  • He looks a little like George Carlin.

  • Hurry up with the movie already!

  • I wish there were a real museum like that :) and then have THAT place be night at the museum, oh god! EPIC! :P

  • @UnpopularTV

I dunno about you but I don't wanna be in the "Halo" exhibit at night. If I am, then shotgun becomes my best friend.

  • iI WANT JAMES CAMERON, STEVEN SPIELBERG, BUNGIE, TIM BURTON, AND JOHNEY DEEP TO ALL ONE DAY COME TOGETHER AND MAKE A HALO MOVIE

  • Don't forget Peter Jackson, the man's zeal with Lord of the Rings trilogy is undeniable. And with James Cameron, I hope he's not involved with the romance element (if there is any), Avatar just got a tinse bit out of hand.

  • Why is the second guy say he was servicing from 2555 to 2567? The Human-Covenant War ended in 2552.

  • @qcumbers23 You do realize that even if the war is over you can still serve in the army ? :P

  • @ImperiumSegmemtum Yea but he wasn't fighting Covenant. He was fighting, like, Insurrectionists.

  • @qcumbers23 hahaha

  • @qcumbers23 HALO 4????????????????????//

  • @qcumbers23 He could have still served as a soldier after the war? :|

  • i never realised these even existed! so good to watch

  • These videos were so good at conveying the emotion of the setting of Halo.

  • Are these for sale!?

  • I was so scared when I first saw this commercial. I hadn't beat Halo 3 yet, and when I looked at the dates, I thought something had just happened to him (especially when he said 'because of the chief'). Now it makes me think they found his corpse in space or something, and they finally agreed to do it.

  • I wish this place still existed.. *sigh*

How would i so want to touch them..

  • God Bungie is amazing!

  • Emile at 0:17 I used the shot gun LOL

  • @CRAFTYMARCUZ dude, Emile is dead. didn't you play Reach?

  • @DhnielJE SPOILER ALERT!!

  • Those Spikers are huge even in MC's hands.

  • chief=barrack obama

  • @twinstar008 more like... Obama=Grunt

  • @FastlaneProductions1 Obama = Elite

  • @hound89 lmao.

  • watch this with "gandalf's death" song its intense

  • ok did eneyone see the war hog movie??????!!!!

  • @NatGen9571 oh okay, you need to specify, also eachother?? you mean each other

  • @NatGen9571 what did you mean by the first part??? you just repeated *each other

  • @NatGen9571 indeed, except by this time racism has virtually disappeared, all of humanity's hate is focused on either, inner or outer colonies? or human or covenant?,

  • WAAAY better than the cheesy Reach ads

  • 360p is not high quality

  • @flagbearer223 it was three years ago when it was posted

  • i like how believe able the actors are, it seems like these are actual veterans of a Epic War like WW2, it's almost...fascinating that ones American and the others African, like you feel the immersion, or later they interview a Indian major and a Russian one after that, true united Earth...ain't that a thought...

  • @AlexSaysHi2013 For some reason, I was always reminded of World War I. Maybe it's just the effect that it had on so many people who had never experienced a "Great War."

They're both the type of war that you know that will change people forever.

  • @itak365 true i get that, kinda overshadows both though, with the whole "near extinction" thing...yeah

  • well...I USED THE SHOTGUN!!!!! That became an Epic line for me and my friends, we say that often especially at a shotgun kill!! XDXDXD

  • I don't understand why they're delaying making this movie. It would absolutely SLAY at the box office.

  • *gets chills*

  • This puts me in the mood for some Dragon Age

  • What if he shot someone by accident with the Spiker that is in the museum which still works?!

  • @SupportShotgun Just cause it still works doesn't mean it's still loaded.

  • @BluLetters I think most, if not all, museum weapons are deactivated. Still, even if it wasn't, you're right, they wouldn't just leave the ammo lying around

  • @AD3PTUZ i think that glowing is like a tracker/deactivation symbol

  • The Believe campaign was one of the best campaigns EVER! Smarter than Beckham being all over than Home Depot Center. Better than The Dark Knights viral videos. iBelieve Master Chief!

  • this gets me in the mood to play halo and kick some ass

  • damn if I was there id get the spartan armor a BR and a PLASMA RIFLE a bit of nades and plasmas jump in a warthhog go for my friend Miguel and hell get in the turret and well go to AREA 51 and kill the ALIENS there

HOP HALO HAPPENS IN 2012 AND CHIEF COMES BACK

  • Well....i used the SHOTGUN!!!! XD

  • yeah i wish they had a museum like that its just so cool

  • Spartans never die, theyre just mission in action.

  • missing in action, JcNGaMeR101

  • @JcNGaMeR101 Missing in Action you just kinda took the Epic away from that statement.

  • aw come on, I wish I could jump in the video and read and explore the museum and brutes must have been super strong to hold a spiker alone, one must weigh idk maybe 20 - 30 pounds... DAMN I WANT TO LIVE IN HALO *jumps at computer screen and hits head* ow that went better in my head....

  • Poor black guy didn't even fight in the war.

  • ddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn i wished it was real and true that will happen in 2012 lol juss my thoughts

  • woooow i would steal the spiker and the assault rifle and tjhe armor and show off in my streets and say''RUUUN THE COVENENT ARE ATTACKING US RUUUN

  • Then the police would come and arrest you for both disturbing the peace AND theft of property. lol, but your choice. :)

  • Maybe this is a clue Master Chief will die.

The old man right says: One reason of this were here is because of the Chief. Then he shaked his head.

    Mhh...

  • Spartans never die

  • LOL old guy looks like George Carlin!!!

  • it look real to me

  • /signed

  • @GhostRider802 They acualy made it out of metal NOT platic it also had led :OP i find this halaroius

  • No shit...?

  • Holding an enemy weapon.. like this... feels... i don't like it *black guy smiles friendly at the camera*

  • I used the shotgun. *smiles*

  • @TheSadForumTroll
