  • well one thing is certain. He's NOT having a freakout because he couldnt find the sugar...haha. Awesome video! Loved it!

  • Great job! Good idea to make a short film like that instead of a "shoot a flower" thing. Truly, nothing beats an SLR. The only thing I'm still not sure of is the speed of the autofocus. From what I read, it still has to be worked on by Canon. Nevertheless, your film shows what can be done. There doesn't seem to be much editing or color correction.

  • i don't get it

  • hey nice vid guys! im lookin at gettin this camera soon, but im not 100% yet. could you explain waht rolling shutter is? thanks. =) keep up the good work =)

  • much much better than the over exposed one!

  • How did you get that epic camera-shake look at 0:27 ?

Did you just set the shutter speed really high or something?

    It was awesome!

  • prefer this one, for sure, looks much more interesting. Lift in blacks with hint on yellowish and flatten whites a bit would do the trick;) Im FCP Color person I guess rather than MB. Best!

  • Nice transition at 0:39, really smooth.

But what was he looking for? And what was the significance of the number 3???

Great editing and camera work by the way...hope I get that good with my 550d. :)

  • @MangaBlossom Thanks, He was looking for the sugar. This wasn't really a proper thought out film, just something silly to test the camera in a real world project rather than a simple 'shoot a flower' test. :)

  • 1:25 I LOVED THIS PART :O

    very cinematic

  • Wow - great to see this version - This camera is incredible! Fuck it... I'm sold!

  • Haha he was probably looking for the sugar!!!

  • I mean this is very close to independent film quality. I was on the fence about a kit lense. I was thinking maybe I needed more. Another $500 books out of my pocket would be just great... NOT... So this gives me hope. My camera arrives in a few days. I'm glad I didn't jump the gun and get the other lens yet.

  • @PhantomLyric Don't be fooled by the trend of needing loads of gear, kit lens & a 50mm 1.8 is all i need. Didn't have to 50mm when we shot this though. :)

  • what is he looking for exactly?

    nice job by the way

  • impressive useage of the kit-lens guess I've underestimated that :P Very good editing job here aswell :D

  • I have to agree with the others. This version is much better! Overexposure should be used carefully and very intentionally.. otherwise the whole product becomes like a cake with two tons of whipped cream on it. :) keep it up!

  • great film! anychance this was filmed in Bilton, Hull? :P

  • What do you use to color correct?

  • @checkoutanna Magic bullet looks

  • thats some where from 20-24FPS. on this model it shoots up to 60 fps

  • I already have mine, What kind of SD card did you use in this short? thanks for showing me de power of my new toy.

  • @AlucardMorgurth Hello there. When buying SD cards for this camera, make sure they are a reputable brand and they are SDHC class 6 or 10. I bought a 32gb class 6 'no-namer' from ebay and it would record only 4 secs of video at a time. Kingston/Transcend/Sandisk are all good cards.

  • @thehubbucks Thanks for answering bro, mine is a kingston SDHC 16GB class 10 brand new that I haven't gotten out from the case yet, do you think I can solve the audio delay problem using mic with a class 10 SD card?

Thank you and sorry for my english XD

  • Awesome video. Cant wait to see what I can do with the 550d. What negative effects does cranking up the shudder speed do during video? Any noticeable IQ loss?

  • I must ask, I'm new too editing and cameras and everything pretty much, but how do you edit a video that you already uploaded?

  • @jockvideos youtube(dot)com/editor

Is that what you mean? The online youtube video editor is very very limited.

  • OK, I couldn't catch what the guy asked at the end to which the other fellow answered 3. What was it?

  • @srikanthsrs "Do you take sugar frank?"

  • @derkoi That was quick! Thanks, I can sleep peacefully tonight.

  • @srikanthsrs lol no worries

  • Thanks for doing this--now I have more confidence in the T2i for filmmaking applications. I want to get the 5D but it'll be a while before I can afford that!

  • @joejumps4fun No probs

  • Nice Job, Do you know what the shutterspeed was in the part 0:27 until 0:35?

  • @videodeurne Not sure, we just turned it up, maybe 200 at a guess?

  • fantastic ^_^ lol funny when ian said TITs =P welldone mate and keep up the awesome work :)

  • Man this was brilliant, I could watch this as a full feature length, I wanted to see more! I liked this version a bit more the the exposed one. please make more! oh did you use the built in mic or an external one ?

  • @rorymorris1 Thanks! We used a Rode Videomic. More films coming soon. :)

  • Is it worth spending the moeny on an external mic or is the on board mic alright. Can you hear any mechanical noises in the backrgound

  • @harrybo743 It's worth spending the money if you're serious about your films, but the on board mic is surprisingly good. You can hear all the camera focussing etc no matter what mic you use.

  • That was really good.

    Great cinematography, editing and acting.

    Keep it up!

  • @DerangedWorks Thanks :)

  • absolutely fantastic. great job.

  • I like the grading in this one more than the other. Cool test.

  • I actually like this grade better. Good job!

  • This so sikwidit! Great editting work! I'll definitely ask you questions ni the future! What editting sw did you use?

  • Which external mic did you use?

  • @wearebrighton Rode videomic. :)

  • @derkoi How much trouble did you have using the videomic on the 550D? I'm really thinking of buying this camera but I've heard some odd things in regards to the sound. Did you have any levels of hiss or anything like that?

  • @natg900 Hey, the gain on the 550D makes the Rode really sensitive and there is plenty of hiss in the background, but it's better than the on board mic. Now I use the Magic Lantern firmware and the gain has been removed. Check out my website for a tutorial on how to install it. derkoi co uk / film

  • really kewl

  • @sharjeelkamran Thanks

  • very nice,,, do you know the site where i can download music background?

  • @michelle1920 Thanks. The music is from immediate music

  • Охуенно получилось!

  • That's more like it! Beautiful.

  • @Ornsack Cheers :)
