@TheAngelgirl7 It's just a Sony Cyber-shot h20 I think it's called. Easy for video and photos. I use it for everything you see here in wide format 720p. The other more square videos are with another Sony Cyber-shot - uhm, DSC-90 maybe? Cheap cameras ($300) 3 years ago, and work really well with windows movie maker and saving to high resolution videos (2000kpps+).
@thaipulsedotcom Im asking my parents if I can get one like yours because I would like to take some photos of plants and insects and your camera has a really good macro, thank you for the response.
@thaipulsedotcom my home is the same way, everything (to the untrained eye) looks like a tornado killed it. But I know if i reach into my closet between that box of books and my tackle box and turn left at the box of spare gunparts and spent shells, then take another left by the bag of crab exos i should find a green lighter.
I was taking a shower (FYI I like to sit it my showers) then I noticed a scorpion crawling next to me!!! I think it didn't sting me because the scorpion was wet o.0
Looks a bit like some kind of Lychas species. Might be Lychas mucronatus or something like that. Better not get stung by those (same applies for any kind of venomous animal, i guess) but they aren't deadly. Of course envenomations always pose a greater threat for children, old and 'weak' people (disease, etc). Having an allergic reaction to a sting can also kinda spoil the fun but in general, i think this specimen isn't that dangerous at all. A sting 'd probably hurt, but you should be ok.
I'm guessing I'm allergic to scorpion venom because when I ate one - even that cooked venom caused me an emergency hospital visit with my lungs closing down. Not sure if that generalizes to all scorps or not... I'm careful with them though!
Hmmm something went wrong while replying this time but i'll just try again :) Obviously it's always a good idea to be cautious when close to any kind of venomous animal and considering your allergic reaction in the past, it's a VERY good idea :p I'm not sure that your allergic reaction would also occur when stung by this animal. Different scorpion species can have different kinds of venom and i'm not an expert so yea... Nice to hear that you didn't kill the little guy, scorpions are awesome!
Beautifl little thing! Nice fat tale; you probably wouldn't want to get stung by it. I find little Euscorpius in open tanks all the time here in Turkey (they've practically got the same status as cockroaches as house pests). They can climb up walls but slip when they try to walk on the tanks. I find them in the kitchen sink fairly often.
I thought I lost this scorpion this morning. I looked in the plastic box... didn't see it. I shook stuff around. Nope. I stuck my finger in there - ULTRA STUPID -and moved the bark and leaves around... nope.
I walk around garage looking. No scorpion. I retrace steps from the night before. I KNOW HE's in that plastic box.
I open again - bang - there he is. Remind me never to stick my hand in there if I don't see him again - someone please?
