  • their gigs are awesome, a bit dissapointed that this one had no instant crowdsurfing and all that stuff, however

  • Comment removed

  • hipsters trying to hard to be punk.

  • @jbgoode000 there's nothing sadder that a close minded "punk"

  • @jbgoode000 These guys were punk before you knew what a hipster was.

  • fuck wish the bass line was this prominent on the record!

  • an odd sort of bunch these guys are.

  • Wow, i heard this band for the first time yesterday. Incredible.

  • Bullshit - it's terrible. I'm trying to figure out what the hell this is supposed to be.

  • @JDRBNFB this is Punk Rock in its new menacing heights!!!! Punk Rock in another dimension so to speak and if you have any idea on the way and how the band stands for in their words, ideas and creativity you will realize this ain't bullshit........ Dig deeper bout the band and you'll realize but its your choice, its your opinion.... cheers!!!

  • Such an energetic band live! -opened at Foo Fighters 2011 Gold Coast Aus, Damian Abraham got in the mosh and got to hi5 him, that was a rad experience!

  • What is wrong with that crowd? I'd be tearing that place apart.

  • the most fucked up band ever!

  • fuckin Awesome

  • This is fucking cool!!! Get some!!!

  • BRYAN DANIELSON

  • my favourite female bassplayer is and will always be Jo Bench!!

  • needs an actual singer

  • i'm in awwww! My headphones and goose bumps agree!

  • The singer is The sauce boss in ten years.

  • @WorldUniteLYF just about to say how simillar to harley he looks

  • @WorldUniteLYF lololololol

  • goosebumps

  • This band just blows my mind...even when the vocals grate on me a little, I have to appreciate the scope and range that this band hits...they are punk in every sense of the word, never compromising on their sound, pushing boundaries and buttons for punk fans and for fans of the "tradition" indie rock sound. What amazing musicians.

  • daaam. dem bass beats are so slumpin hard. I never liked this rocker shit, but I think this is why my dad crossed the border. Gracias Virgencita.

  • What a lively crowd.

  • Thumbs up for the chubby guy :)

  • @rafaligado thumbs down for you faggot

  • @jsrnash12 faggot cause i fucked up with your father

  • ///BASSBABE\\\

  • Why the fuck is this song so fucking good!!!!

  • I wonder if that sweater comes in a V-Neck. But seriously, shave your back, you look like George "The Animal" Steele

  • SGs!

  • He looks like Sauce Boss from Epic Meal Time

  • that guy sucks... the band is fantastic. i love this song if you take away the singer.

  • @158ninja you suck.

  • @158ninja fuck you

  • Do you compute? Do you compute? Do you compute? I think you do don't need it proven don't wanna listen don't need a tour of the pieces i'm missing as if you were put here to straighten us out and everything you said was being written down you weren't and it isn't and nobody's listening, and nobody gives a fuck what you go do with your life
  • just saw these guys live at the foos. crack up performance

  • i have the weirdest boner right now

  • These guys were one of the support bands for Foo Fighters on their recent tour, saw them at Western Springs in Auckland, NZ and they were exactly what their name suggests. How could THE rock god Dave Grohl pick this shite as support to Foos, Ill never know.

  • @EuanKiwi Because Dave Grohl played in hardcore bands like this when he was young, A very prolific band called scream from dc in the early 80's. He loves this kind of music and he wanted to tour with them, thats why. I worked on that tour and this band is good.

  • The comments on this video proves that 'indie' even though it spawn from bands like this (rites of spring/embrace) has just snow balled into a bunch of pretensions fuck heads who only care about looks and whats cool. You are all massive fucking possers who will all turn into clubbing pill poping dick heads within 5 years.

  • PUNK IS DEAD!...AND FAT!....

    Pussies Up

  • ALSO, nobody wants to see a big fat hairy shirtless guy. Funny when drunk? Very. Funny when you're sober and he's screaming in your face? Not as much.

  • This band is so great because they are such an anomaly. It's like hardcore, punk, pop, and indie elements are thrown in and mixed together. Totally unique sounds.

  • reminds me of a punk version of mourning tide

  • Saw these guys open for Foo Fighters last night. The singer is absolutly incredible, jumped into the crowd right where I was standing. That chunky, bearded, hairy sweat will be on me forever. These guys are generally pretty fucking brilliant.

  • These guys were a great support to the Foo Fighters, if only because it got everyone laughing and ready to see Tenacious D come on.

Pro tip, keep your shirt on mate, sorry.

And smashing plastic cups on your head isn't particularly impressive either.

  • @ColonelHerro hahaha! He had that cup on his head for like 5 minutes! This guy has to be one of the most engaging frontmen I've ever witnessed. He made it feel like a fucking party and I really dug that. The whole shirtless thing was hilarious and when he came into the crowd it was brilliant, then he went over the other side and started serenading male members of the crowd haha, then he disappeared for like 3 songs. I'd never seen them live before but yesterday was a cracker.

  • @ColonelHerro since it makes people like you uncomfortable when people like him take his shirt off, that's exactly why he should keep doing it.

oh and you clearly know nothing about this band and what they're capable of live, either. Damian is known to do sufficient bloody injury to himself. not just plastic cups, mate.

  • i dont hear screaming, i hear hardcore shouting!

  • Saw these guys in Australia yesterday, hottest fucking bassist! :)

  • crowds fuckin lame

  • man how come no one in the crowd is singing along, everytime i see fucked up everyone is in the crowd is screaming the lyrics just as loud, you just can help it the band gives of so much energy and performs so well

  • @MacWackArnolds Pretty sure this was recorded before David Comes to Life was released, so not a huge surprise.

  • i'm just going to be honest and say that this is not good music. if anything id consider them a decent garage band.. nothing more

  • @justisrayne14 thats your opinion

  • what's wrong with the crowd you ask? Maybe they expected good indie singing based on the instrumentation. Instead, they got a weird clash of styles with a screamo singer and an indie band. it does not work together.

  • @TheZatrahc this is hardcore singing, this is a hardcore band

    there aint no fuckin screamo

get your information together, THEN comment

  • @butterknucklez Come to New Jersey, then try and tell me there is not such thing as screamo. I know quite a few local area bands that would disagree wholeheartedly. Both indie and SCREAMO (if all your lyrics are screaming, I'm going to call you screamo. Tool is hardcore. This is screamo) are modern day creations. You can't say that because they come from the same place they mesh well together. Trying to so so is...well...Fucked Up.

Please, get your information together, THEN comment.

  • @TheZatrahc how is tool in anyway hardcore

  • @butterknucklez ...? Do you know the band I'm talking about?

  • @TheZatrahc tool does not remotely sound like black flag or minor threat at all

    get your ears checked

  • @butterknucklez Who said they did? They're still hardcore.

  • @TheZatrahc just shut up

  • @TheZatrahc Indie music came out of hardcore with bands like embrace and dinosaur JR. Fucking poser.

  • @mrgordonplaysdrums ...I love Dinosaur Jr. The sonic youth are a big inspiration for me as a musician. Indie, as we have it today, is both a mantra and a genre. The genre you can hear in bands like Vampire Weekend, Ra Ra Riot, Explosions in the Sky, etc. This band takes the instrumentation of those groups, and combines it with the singing of A7x, Mastodon, etc. It clashes quite a bit. Essentially, the vocals just come as a shock, and it's not what these people expected. That's why their bumed.

  • @TheZatrahc Listen to hardcore punk. Bands like black flag, circle jerks, minor threat, ceremony bands like that. Its not like A7x you just havent bothered to listen to anything outside your specific genre. The guys in sonic youth all played in hardcore punk bands so did dinosaur jr. These guys are playing indie music with some hardcore instrimentation and hardcore vocals. NOT FUCKING A7x AND MASTODON! FUCK METAL.

  • @mrgordonplaysdrums When listing those (quite crappy) metal bands, I was doing so only for the singing. Besides the singing, they are apples and oranges. And what hardcore instrumentation? I see no drop D, I see no stupid thrown in at the last minute guitar solo, I see no biting eighth note pattern guitars. Hell, the drummer isn't even riding his crash. What I do see is jangly, bright, decidedly indie guitars not hardcore.

  • @TheZatrahc Their punk bands for one, They dont play in drop d. Oh well i dont really care what you think, You wont understand punk/hardcore/indie ever and thats probably a good thing.

  • @mrgordonplaysdrums Punk doesn't sing like this. You can understand (mostly) what Iggy Pop says in a song. You can probably sing along to a clash song without damaging your voice box. And not every hardcore song is in Drop D. Saying that everyone is is just idiotic. I listed drop D as an example on something a hard core band may make use of.

  • @TheZatrahc URRRGGG! Iggy pop started punk, But he didnt start hardcore. This is hardcore punk. You know nothing of it so you are trying to make shit up about it. Just fuck off seriously your getting annoying. I listen to alot of indie alot of punk and a whole spectrum of good music. Stop limiting yourself to bands because of the vocal attributes they have for fuck sake.

  • @mrgordonplaysdrums I'm not "Limiting myself because of vocal attributes". I'm not feeling the love for this band because I like understanding what a singer is saying. I'm a pretty chill guy too. I'm not exactly a fan of being yelled at for the length of a concert.

And I'm sorry if because of my terminology I'm incomprehensible to all of you. Oh boo hoo it's hard core punk, not punk. I might as well be getting into an argument over the differences between electronica and techno.

  • @TheZatrahc For fuck's sake, you're the one who called anything with screaming "screamo," and that just loses all your credibility in labeling music. Normally I support the idea of not caring, but lumping it all under one label with no regard to the musical style is idiotic. Your expressed idea of hardcore is extremely narrow, too, so get off your soapbox and have some humility. You don't have to like this band, but stop acting like you're the textbook of modern rock music.

  • @TheZatrahc "I'm a pretty chill guy" ...douche!

  • What the fuck is wrong with the crowd?

  • Yeah, these guys are fucked up.

But not the good fucked up.

    It doesn't even sound good.

    (N)

  • @jarradlowe Go back to the wombats.

  • Handsome singer!!!

  • no biggie but i've kind of touched the lead singers beautiful chest when they were supporting the foo fighters

  • BRYAN DANIELSON + FUCKED UP

  • This is one fucked up awesome band

  • BRYAN DANIELSON!!!!!!!!

  • The single greatest live act I've ever seen. I'm including Bauhaus and Gang of Four in this list. These guys are incredible and will change the way you feel about live music.

  • Sandy is this generations' Kim Deal! She is so cool.

  • @G3GabeL You are so right. I grew up loving Kim and Sandy is the closest thing Ive seen to her

  • such a fucking great band...i LOVE them!<3

  • chicks who play bass become 3000x hotter.

  • i love sandyyyyyy

  • like if you noticed the bryan danielson shirt

  • its weird seeing him wear a jumper haha

  • Its Fucked Up. I clicked the button without even watching

  • i love a band with no image.

  • @hamadepops I agree. The music speaks. I do wish they had a better name though. This is good music that I'm sure will be over looked. Although NPR listed them as the one of the best band so far this year back in June.

  • gg is back in other body

  • Husker Du

  • He needs to get naked and jump in that crowd!!

Was this an industry only gig? Sure looks like it.

  • Would that crowd fucking move!!! Geez.

  • BOO THAT CROWD!

  • I've never seen Damien lose his breath like that.

  • I love this band, cause they are not like the others. That bassist is very beautiful too

  • Hi, this is a hardcore band...why are you standing there nodding your heads?

  • why so many dislikes? can't wait to see them this time next week at Reading and give them a proper reception!

  • Seriously, the singer is at the wrong gig.

  • i see me!

  • Interesting but for the love of God; PUT YOUR SHIRT BACK ON. PLEASE!!!!!

  • haha excellent, great song

  • Go fucked up Go ! Support !

  • Wow so much dislike on this vid... I love these guys and the vid's very well done. Look up the music video to this track, it's phenomenal.

  • Don't dislike the video cus he shouts. Fucked up rule!

  • What a lame crowd...

  • @Sven360x eh you kinda gotta understand the context though, this was a three song set put on like right at the beginning of capitol hill block party on the first day on this little side stage. Everyone was just showing up and the first set of real shows had just ended it was like 4 o clock. Plus this wasn't on the schedule so most of these people just wandered in there.

  • @mr0ska Soo why weren't you moving around?
