@skydog46 cheers...thanks, yeah I think the goldtop sounds great here...think alot of the tone came from hitting the amp so hard amp was on nearly max, and then hit with two boosts - a maxed BSM treble boost and a nearly maxed tube screamer set mostly as a clean boost - I remember the valves were spitting!!
try to be more sparing with your licks.....remember....peter was very understated....less is more....but you'll get there, and it feels great when you do.
thanks - Amp is Cornell Romany Plus with a celestion alnico blue. Amp pretty high up and being VERY heavily boosted with a bsm velvet treble boost on about 3/4 and a BYOC clay jones type tubescreamer.
I haven't checked out your videos in a while-your playing has most certainly improved. Great tone,I really liked your phrasing, and there was enough space to enjoy it all. Great job. Cheers
thanks - practice regime consists of continually improving when ever I get the chance to all my favorite blues guitarists. I almost never try and learn any song as it was played, because I find it cramps my personal style and prevents me form feeling the music as well. cheers, JB
Peter Green has the best bending and vibrato I have ever heard.. along with gary moore and jeff beck..... But I don't hear you bending much like peter green? i love it though!.....
thanks - its more just inspired by peter green...I wasn't trying to copy his style exactly - we always sound like ourselves! I agree with you about peter's vibrato - unbelievable!
Yeah it wasn't a dig... Just from the title I expected some peter green style bending.. but you're right we all have our own nuances which seperate us from others even when covering someone else's style...!!!!!
The fact that you've only been playing 3 years is stunning!!! I've been playing 25+ years and you blow me away! Killer playing and tone!!!! Excellent job. Cheers, T
Very, very nice. Old school tone, old school soul. What the fuck can't I hear this all over like it used to be? Keep giving the gospel out.

John, did you get rid of your other cornell for this one? I always loved the sound of the p-90's in a gold top-great combo.

@leftystrat62 yep - needed the money for the guitar...and downsizing the amp provided some of that!

Wow! 3 years? Either you have an excellent practice regimen (if so, please share!) or you are a natural talent. Or both? Just sounds great!
