  • buick made there car hoods open this way in the late 1980s ?????

  • @thebeans380 bmw e30s opened exactly the same starting in 84, so its not his idea, he did a good job making the brackets though,

  • looks great would love to get info on hood latch and schematics,i loaded videos of my 40 chev but well not good at the tagsso its lost i fear but its a 40 coupe chopped channeled and no front fenders would like to incorperate your hood design

  • Nice nice! I have the '40 chevy business coupe project.. the front grille is better than original.

  • @eutanaasia I think his grill design kind of looks like a 41 Willys, I like it too

  • very cool!!!

  • @moonrunner777 it should be real nice when its done, hope to get more video of it later

  • saab 900 1978-83 generation uses the same way to open the hood. Impresive work!

  • @Razastar1971 Hope to make some update vids on this one

  • @groutaone i sat and watch all your videos in one night. Nice drag racing videos and awesome tips. Thanks for sharing.

  • @Razastar1971 Thats amazing I really appreciate that, hope I didnt bore you to tears lol

  • you should do a vid on his 60 chevy.it's amazing!!from a very proud brother!!

  • nice work

  • @groutaone That is just too cool. I love classics like this and fabrication. I love to build, my passion. groutaone, you should have your own tv show. Kind of like stacey david and gearz. I think you could do it ! I sit down and watch your channel almost every day.

  • @JameZCody Thank you for your very generous comment, I really appriciate your support for my channel

  • @groutaone ?????

  • @groutaone Thats what I said.

  • @7'00 few beers lol

  • Im liking the interior!! nice job on the whole car

  • great vid about a great car, allways nice to see some other cars of other people, it give me some ideas for my own cars 2

  • @gabbermaikel What kind of cars do you have?

  • @groutaone i got a old opel kadett c coupe and a sedan version(both from 1973 i think), an old morris 1300(ado16)(1973 or 71)

and from the c coupe i want to make a track racing car powerd by a volvo turbo engine(looking for 200hp at the wheels)

so its nothing like the hotorod on this vid, but thats a lot more expensive to do, and since i'm only 18 i can't pay for that probably

and you will not find 1 off those body's in holland i think

  • @gabbermaikel I like Opels, If you make a video of your cars sometime I would like to see them.

  • @groutaone i made a video about them but then i left my camera on the roof of my car when i drove away(was with a group and all of sudden they start driving without telling so i jump in and take of, and then i heard somthing drop but didn't think about the camera)

but i think i will make a new vid about it soon but the race car project thing dosn't look to good at the moment

  • thanks ....until then i will have yours to keep up with.....THANKS AGAIN

  • no its gone now ...10 years ago my father passed away...the man that ended up with the car should have been shot....he pulled the 1967 corvette 327 out and put a hemi in it chopped the top and put gold wing doors on it ....it looked like a kid with a hacksaw did the work....... but never fail i will find another on some day!!!!!

  • @MrMadkaw400 Sorry to hear about your dad, stuff you had or did as a kid always seems to come back later in life, I wish you good luck finding another one

  • i love this car ..my father and i had one that we worked on from the time i was in 6th grade to the time i finished high school....keep it coming...nice work

  • @MrMadkaw400 Is the car still in the family?

  • Awesome! Keep us updated!!!!

  • @pstrokeranger will do

  • That is total sick. You have to keep us up-dated on this car. This guy has some talent for fabricating. What a great job.

  • @IHcubcadet Iam curious what hes going to say about all these comments, hes gone for a few weeks now so I'll have to wait and see lol, glad you enjoyed it and I plan on doing an update

  • Pretty damn cool. It should be something when she is done. Perfect car to drop a dual quad big block Ford engine into. lol. BTW I didn't forget about making that video of my dad's old drag racing footage. I'm still working on a way to make the video quality not total crap.

  • @bisquik3006 Glad you got a kick out of this one, hey no problem on your video, I dont have plans on going away anytime soon

  • Wow nice!!! Hes done a lot of work. He still have a long ways to go but awesome!!! Job!!! My 1927 Ford T-Bucket had an old Ford tractor rad, in it. Till I could break down and buy the $750.00 rad I ended up putting in it

  • @2LateIWon bet most didnt know it was a tractor rad, I bet it looked kind of original for the car

  • Comment removed

  • Awesom!! And every subscriber gets a free ride after it is done?!

  • @gjhgjh I think all we have to do is get him to put a hitch on it and then he can pull us all around town for a big hay ride, I'll see what he says heh heh

  • Mouth watering beauty

  • Whoa Killer set of Skillz !!!! Great vision too! hope we get to see a few updates!

  • @blingmow101 Yes, I hope to do an update on this one

  • Ingenious mechanism and a safe design for the hood. Prefer a front hinge ever since I had a rear hinge hood let go at speed, blocking vision while quickly assuming the shape of the windshield and roof.

  • @Moosepiesandwich So what happened next? Hope you came to a stop safely

  • @groutaone It was winter in Buffalo at night on the upgrade on a long bridge with a high wind coming off Lake Erie A loud bang and everything ahead went blank but could still see the high railings out the side windows as a guide to stop. (whew!)

  • @Moosepiesandwich smart move to not panic and watch out the side, glad it didnt turn into a disaster

  • Simply amazing what someone can do when they put their mind and hands to work :)

  • He sure is a skilled fabricator. That's gonna be one sweet Chevy. Great vid!

  • @RamblinAround Thanks for checking this one out

  • That hood mechanism is really the clincher for me. Really neat! I hope you can keep us up to date on that project.

    Regards; Scotty

  • @scotty2307 no problem, I know what you mean about that hood

  • wow very nice,is he going to chop the top a bit?keep us up to ate on this project plz it s really looking good :)

  • @Needmorehorsepower Iam not sure about the top but he was talking about giving the hood a bit of a forward slant, will keep you updated

  • wow, now that's thinking outside the box.

  • nice car..back around 1980 .I had a '39 Chevy Business coupe, paid $50 for it, worked on it a little , and sold it...the right rear quarter panel was full of lead, found that when I was grinding it down to bare metal, wonder how much lead I inhaled that day...wish I still had that car, after seeing what this man has done with his...

  • @knikula Not sure what the safest way is to remove lead, I have used a torch to melt it off in the past, anyone out there have more ideas?

  • nice metal work .

    thumbs up buddy

  • @500passwords Thanks for the rate

  • Cool, btw, his hood movement is exactly the same as older BMWs.

  • Chevy's rock!!! and that one looks awesome for sure. lotta time and effort in that one. looks like a lot of time with the english wheel too rounding all of those panels like that to match the rest of the car. Nice one!!

  • @daddytech yes this guys got some skills for sure

  • @OSCALETRAINGUY Havent done much with the 500 for a while, but theres always something brewing around here

  • nice

  • When I was young I found a 1930s ford truck in an old barn. I smashed it but i was only like 8 years old. The roof of the barn was caved in and so it wasnt in great shape anyway.

  • @tobyeo I couldnt get the link to work that you sent, no matter though, me and a friend used to smash our cars together in town, old beaters, got some funny looks from some people then the police chief told us to do our demo derby smashing out of town lol

  • That hood is cool, what did he use to stop the metal from getting rusty.

  • @MyAussieDay Thats a good question because its been sitting there bare for about 2 years, I'll have to ask him

  • That is one bad ass ride.

  • Very Nice , Thats quite a skill set he has there !

  • @krazy45cat yep, he can fix about anything, not just cars

  • Cool car, want to see it when it's done")

  • Can't wait to see it when it is done!

  • Hope you'll check back on this project again later.

  • I like the door corners rounded off...I mite look into that myself.

  • @ziggassedup kinda makes sense as the whole car is full of curves so why not the door corner

  • Awesome Dude!! Thumbs up to a fellow Fabricator and Bodyman eh!!☺

  • @805ROADKING thanks for the rate, ya this guy has always had great fab skills
